HANSON: Change and Transition

By | October 4, 2019

WEEKLY PIC

Change is in the air and the last week exemplified that with trips to tropical and mountainous landscapes. Lots of music and concerts ahead as the change in season takes hold!

MESSAGE FROM THE BAND

This week is a one of change and transition. After a first time journey to paradise for our first concert in the Aloha State, Hawaii (which was awesome), we returned to the 48 and got a first glimpse of snow near Lake Tahoe. With the remainder of the week spent back in creation mode finishing overdubs on the new record, we continue to chip away. Lots to look ahead to as we get excited for Wintry Mix shows what’s ahead is a mix  of many things from our annual return to Epcot for the Food and Wine fest to continued musical creation in the studio and hopefully a new mix of cool fall weather to usher in the next season.

Have a great week,

Isaac, Taylor And Zac

HANSON: Hello Hawaii!

By | September 29, 2019

WEEKLY PIC

Our first time in Hawaii was epic. Thanks to everyone who joined us and made us feel welcome. Here’s a view from the top of the iconic Diamond Head Crater.

MESSAGE FROM THE BAND

Thursday, we got the chance to check another location off the bucket list – playing our first show in Hawaii!  It felt great to be playing to so many people for the first time and to give so many mainland fans an excuse to take an island excursion.  With any luck, we will come back soon! What a cool thing to travel the world playing music. Spending the morning on Waikiki beach and the evening playing a rock show is not a bad way to go to work! This is a week where the firsts keep coming as we make our way back across the Pacific today, heading to another location we have never played before, Lake Tahoe. We have said for years we would do this job whether we were playing for 5 people or 50,000, but we tend to leave out that 5 people sure sounds a lot better surrounded by snow-capped mountains or an ocean side view.

For the moment, we are all focused on soaking in our surroundings, prepping to get back in the studio next week, and looking forward to what December and the Wintry Mix Tour will bring!

Isaac, Taylor And Zac

The worst songs ever

By | September 22, 2019

Herald Chronicle

“It makes my ears bleed!” “It makes me feel sick!” “It makes my hair stand on end!”

These are some of the comments I received after a recent request to identify the Worst Songs Ever.

Although the 1970s is considered to be The Decade of Bad Songs (that era gave us “Run Joey Run,” “Convoy,” and “Kung Fu Fighting”), there were plenty of duds before then, and they’re still cranking them out today.

1990s music lovers had plenty to say, from Hanson’s “MmmBop” (“Mmmm..No!”), the bubblegum-flavored “Barbie Girl” (“Even Ken hates this one”), and Ricky Martin’s “Living La Vida Loca” (“I know all the words, and I’m not proud of that.”)

HANSON: Wintry Mix is exactly that!

By | September 22, 2019

WEEKLY PIC

Today, everyone can get tickets for the upcoming Wintry Mix Tour. Who is ready for the open road?

MESSAGE FROM THE BAND

Compared to the last month, this week has been fairly low key.  We took the week off from recording opting for an ear break and a little extra time to finish lyrics. This past week has not been without its highlights and probably the most important being the announcement of The Wintry Mix Tour. The WMT will go through most of December crossing the US just like the jolly man himself, minus the elves and the reindeer and the granting of wishes.  The Hanson.net Pre-Sale has been going all week, but today is the official public on-sale. It’s gonna be a great time and a fantastic time with some of our favorite people, basically the best way to bring 2019 to a close. If you are a Hanson.net member, don’t forget to check out the latest video this week form the making of In Real Life our 2019 Members EP.
