Don’t pretend you’re not a little bit excited, if not at least intrigued about the fact that Hanson are on their way to Perth.

The peculiarly long-haired boys exploded onto our airwaves and MTV screens with the persistently catchy MmmBop in 1997 and only managed to last a couple years at the top of the charts – but they’ve certainly cemented their spot in pop-music history.

One in ten Australian households owned a copy of the band’s debut album Middle of Nowhere, setting the hearts of young girls on fire in a ‘Bieber-esque’ fever.

The band’s been around the block a few times having made music now for the past two decades, and whether you’re heading a long as a fan or just for fun there’s no denying the three brother’s musical talent.

Their Shout It Out world tour will feature tracks from a brand new album, as well as all your favourites.

Metropolis Fremantle will host the one off show on September 22, but if you’re after tickets you’ll have to resort to a Facebook status – this one sold out almost as quickly as the boys came and went from out radios.
