MESSAGE FROM THE BAND
One more week into 2017 and things are busy at HANSON HQ. HopJam, HANSON Day, New music, Christmas Album, World Tour, New EP – listing them makes me tired. We have a lot we would like to do this year as we celebrate being a band for 25 years. We won’t be able to get every project done, but our whole career has been an exercise in shooting for the moon.
Among the many things we are working on, the dates for HANSON Day have now been announced. HANSON Day 2017 will be the evening of May 18th as well as May 19th – 20th. We’ll begin celebrating our 25th anniversary with what we hope will be the best HANSON Day event ever (until next year). Hanson.net Members can already RSVP on Hanson.net and in a few short weeks at the end of next month we will announce the full schedule of events. Concert, Lectures, Gallery we are going to be doing it all.
As of yesterday we are back in the Studio once again recording. We are both putting the final touches on the new Christmas album and also recording a brand new song that will be released later this year. It is an inspiring feeling to be working on a follow up to Snowed In with all the memories and expectations of something twenty years in the making and the next moment be crafting something new that will be a big part of our future. It makes you feel really lucky to have the job we do. On a day like today when people around the U.S. feel compelled to invoke the almighty saying God Bless America, we are spending our day in a beautiful studio making music in wonder of how much God has already blessed us.
