AMERICAN sibling pop trio Hanson are banking on the continued affections of the generation Y teens who made them the biggest band in the world as they book another Australian tour.

Just as One Direction and 5 Seconds Of Summer stir their hormonally-charged fans into ear-splitting screamathons, so the MMMBop brothers provoked teen hysteria in the mid 1990s.

The lads have well and truly grown up — and so have their fans — but thousands of those whose adolescence was soundtracked by their infectious tunes turned out to see them play sold-out theatre shows here two years ago.

Hanson will launch their sixth studio record Anthem with seven shows but whet appetites for their harmonic jaunty pop rock with their single Get The Girl Backreleased on Friday.

The video also shows the band still court famous fans with Twilight actor Nikki Reed and Two Broke Girls star Kat Dennings starring.

They win over some Australian craft beer enthusiasts while here after launching their own ale MMMHops to celebrate their 21st anniversary last year.

Hanson kick off their Anthem tour at the Tivoli, in Brisbane on August 5 and also play the Coolangatta Hotel on August 6, Enmore Theatre, Sydney on August 8, Palais Theatre, Melbourne on August 9, HQ, Adelaide on August 12 and Metropolis, Fremantle on August 15.

Tickets on sale from April 9
