The American pop-rock band known as Hanson will hit the stage at Festival Place on Monday, Oct. 7.

The band of brothers features Isaac on guitar, vocals and drums; Taylor on keyboards, piano, drums and vocals; and Zac on drums, piano, guitar and vocals.

They are on their Anthem World Tour to promote their latest album. The tour kicked off in July, working its way up through South America and North America before it will end in Europe on Dec. 17.

Anthem is the band’s sixth studio album. Their website (www.hanson.net) notes that the album was created as a way of bringing people together.

“We have always been in awe of the ability music has to engage people, whether it’s a song that makes you want to dance, or a song that inspires you to take action for a cause. We want this record to be the anthem for all of those moments,” Taylor said on the website’s bio.

Isaac added that “the sound of this record touches on most of our musical influences, a bit of soul, a bit of song craftsmanship and some good old fashioned rock n roll… this time it just has a little more fight in it.”

The Hanson concert will start at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7 with David Ryan Harris opening. The show is sold out.

The band was not available for an interview prior to press time.
