The 2013 Western Fair just added some free sounds to its entertainment mix.

U.S. pop rockers Hanson open the London fall classic’s run of music dates on Sept. 6, with The Mavericks headlining on Sept. 14, the fair announced Tuesday.

In between, there are Canadian pop rockers Victoria Duffield and Fefe Dobson (Sept. 7) and Canadian classic rockers Loverboy (Sept. 8) and Stampeders (Sept. 11).

Modern Canadian rock is also on the fair’s bill with Bleeker Ridge and Monster Truck (Sept. 9), Lights (Sept. 10) and fair favourites Down With Webster (Sept. 13).

Canadian country stars Doc Walker play Sept. 12.

The acts are expected to play on a new stage on the fairgrounds. More details are to be released later.

Recently, the fair switched from using the grandstand for its musical attractions. Most of those concerts were admission charging. The new approach has had fans jamming the concerts for such local openers as The Dyadics and Staylefish with headliners following in shows which are free with admission to the fair.
