What is the very first memory of Hanson that you have?:
Saw Hanson on TV (Mmmbop video clip). Like it so much (esp.
Taylor..hahaha…and my Mom thought they were girls) and watch every
music show that played Hanson. They also came to Indonesia for a
showcase at that time (which is so hectic because the fans are going
crazy to see them). I just saw it on TV – have no money to saw it
live, I’m just an elementary student with no money that time :p
How many times have you seen Hanson in concert? Favorite concert
memory?:
just once actually (30 March 2012) – I chase them from Indonesia to
Manila-Philippines when I found out that they only held a South East
Asia tour in Manila only. I really treasure that moment. The first
time I travel outside my country – and the reason is Hanson. Everybody
that I know feel so shocked – I mean they were like : who’s Hanson?
Are they really still exist? Those kind of stuff. But yeah who really
care? I’m happy. That’s enough! To see the boys playing 21 songs alive
with all the energy – my journey worth to travel!
Favorite concert memory : when they played “with you in your dreams”
in the concert – I cried – it reminded me so much of my little brother
who passed away in the age of 9 year 2007.
What is your favorite Hanson song, and why?:
Wow..it’s a hard decision…
I love “Save Me” because of the lyrics and the music just so deep
“With you in your dreams” because it reminded me of my little brother.
“This Time Around” because the song brought me to love Hanson so much
– so deep that I decided to be a Fanson 😀 -years after mmmbop, which
is until this moment I still consider it a little weird because I’ve
known them long before when mmmbop and also this time around being
released-
Why do you like/love Hanson?:
They very passionate with their music.
They just keep going against mainstream and survive even not as
popular as when Mmmbop hit worldwide.
They have a sweet family (with wives and children at young age and
still marry to the same person!) Rare!!! Even some think that’s weird
(married in young age, having lots of kids) – for me that is damn
sweet!!!
How long have you been a Hanson fan?:
The funny thing is I’m a new Fanson (start on 2011). Yes I know about
Mmmbop (who doesn’t anyway?), Penny and Me, and how they grow from
child to adult musician. But they’re just a common band for me before
– until one day on March 2011 in random feeling and boredom for
nowadays music trend (auto-tunes mainstream) I decided to look for new
refreshment in music by browsing at my friend’s music bank – found
Hanson on his list (only 3 songs – one of them is This Time Around) I
have heard This Time Around over and over long before (when it being
released) but have no interest at all. But somehow, that one day on
March 2011 – I feel different. I try to listen to the lyrics more
seriously, also the music and fall in love for real for Hanson for the
first time. I search for their songs and found out a lot that I love.
The lyrics is so meaningful. It’s like they touch my heart with their
music and lyrics. Lucky me once I decided to become a Fanson they also
held South East Asia tour in Manila – that’s why I really eager to go
and saw their concert
Why should you be FAN OF THE MONTH?:
Well because I’m a newly Fanson and also as I know none of Indonesian
Fanson being promote as FAN OF THE MONTH before XD (I hope I’m not
wrong – so I can be promoted..hohoho)
