ACCLAIMED FIFTH STUDIO ALBUM SHOUT IT OUT TO BE RELEASED ON 604 RECORDS SPRING 2012
Pop-rock trio HANSON are set to return to Canada with their Shout It Out World Tour, following on from their Fall 2011 legs in Europe, South America and the US. The tour will pre-empt the Canadian release of their acclaimed fifth studio album Shout It Out on 604 Records, which debuted at #2 on the Billboard independent charts in the US. The tour will take HANSON across the country and will feature rising Canadian artist Carly Rae Jepsen as direct support. The tour commences January 23 in Vancouver and ends February 11 in Montreal. Tickets are currently on sale, with several dates already sold out.
“This will be the most extensive Canadian tour we’ve done to date. We’re excited to visit many parts of the country for the first time and make Canada a part of our world tour,” enthuses singer and drummer Zac Hanson.
Since the band’s major debut 14 years ago, HANSON have been nominated for three Grammy Awards and sold over 16 million albums. Releasing records independently since 2003 on their own 3CG Records to media and fan acclaim alike, the band has earned praise for their songwriting, musicianship and dynamic live performances, with New York‘s Village Voice calling them the “Finest Straight-Up Rock Band In America.”
