Before Bieber fever, there were others who made our hearts race.
Those teen idols over which devout fans, including mothers and grandmothers figuratively or literally pulled their hair, cried their eyes out and packed malls to see. In short, our celebrity crushes.
While Canadian songster Justin Bieber, who turned 17 on Tuesday, may or may not survive his meteoric rise to stardom, there are many others who still make fans scream and shout.
Entertainment web site Popeater.com has gathered up its top 10 pre-Bieber celebrity crushes – most from television and movies and included Tulsa’s Taylor Hanson, one of the brothers from pop/rock music group Hanson.
The countdown includes: 10. Malcom Jamal Warner of “The Cosby Show,” 9. Sasha Mitchell from “Step by Step,” 8. the late Jonathan Brandis of “Ladybugs,” 7. Will Friedle from “Boy Meets World,” 6. Joey Lawrence of “Blossom” fame, 5. Taylor Hanson of Hanson, 4. Rider Strong from “Boy Meets World”, 3. Andrew Keegan from “7th Heaven” 2. Devon Sawa of “Little Giants” and 1. Jonathan Taylor Thomas from “Home Improvement.
The site includes video footage and photos of Hanson from childhood, his brothers Zac and Isaac, his wife Natalie Anne Bryant and their children Ezra Jordan, Penelope Anne, Samuel River Hanson and Viggo Moriah accompanied by the Hanson song “Penny and Me.”
