This week at HNET
From The Band

As we come to the end of 2009 we want to take a moment to thank all of you who came out to the Use Your Sole Tour, and took part in The Walk Around The World Campaign. It was great to play new music for all of you and keep up the tradition of being on tour every year! This was an especially great tour, because we got to premiere some brand new tunes, lots more to come.

Special thanks to Hellogoodbye, Sherwood and Steel Train for coming out on the road. We had a wonderful time on the Use Your Sole Tour this fall, thanks for sharing the stage with us.

2009 has been a busy year filled with concerts, the release of the Stand Up Stand Up EP, The Release of Strong Enough To Break and the writing and recording of a new record coming in the spring.

Through TakeTheWalk.net we launched the Walk Around the World Campaign in the fall of 2008 to fight poverty and AIDS in Africa asking you all to join us in hosting your own barefoot walk in your communities around the world. We were committed to give a dollar for every walker but the action and the completion of the goal was in YOUR HANDS. For months from Tulsa to Tokyo, Sydney to Appleton, London to Little Rock and from Rio de Janeiro to Johannesburg walks were hosted by people just like you. By the spring of this year we had done one full lap and we are now half way into the next lap thanks to your compassion for others and your personal leadership.

The Walk Around the World has also exceeded it goals in all areas. 1 School is now 2, 1 well is now 3, we have more than doubled our goals for medicine and HIV/AIDS Treatment, and we have also more than doubled our goals for the pairs of shoe donated through our friends at TOMS Shoes. Actions always speak louder than words, so I guess that means that you all are REALLY LOUD!!! Thank you.

Of all the things we have done this year on the web, the most exciting has been the use of mobile live streaming like we did with the aLive@H.net events. We feel like this new technology is going to change the way we communicate with you (our fans), and the way we share everything we are up to. From concerts and charity walks, to recording late night jam sessions, live streaming lets us bring you into whatever we are doing RIGHT NOW, whenever we are doing it. It is really exciting to see music and technology coming together in new ways.

Thanks for all your support this year. Here’s to a great 2010!!!

Have a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a HANSON New Year!
