If you frequent the Hanson.net forums, you may be familiar with Laura or her username Lautje85. In the past, she has hosted 4 walks in the Netherlands for the Take The Walk Campaign and is active in other parts of the community as well. In January, she will be taking the trip to Jamaica for Hanson’s Back to the Island event. She had been looking for ways to help out and give back while in Jamaica and has made contact with an orphanage in Montego Bay. If you are attending BTTI and have some room to spare in your suitcase, please consider bringing some of the following supplies for Laura to collect and bring. Laura is hoping to visit on Wednesday during BTTI but will be bringing more supplies on Monday when she flies back and there is also a concierge at the hotel that volunteers at a school so any other supplies that don’t make it to the orphanage will still be getting good use by the children of Jamaica.

For the teens:

stationery (rulers, erasers, etc.)

The donations will be split between two homes. One houses 38 children aged birth to 9 years. The other home houses 30 children.
If you’re going to BTTI but would rather donate than bring supplies or are not going to BTTI at all but would still like to help Laura and the orphanage out, donations can be made via her gofundme page. Donations made via gofundme will be used for additional supplies as well as to help fund her $150 roundtrip transport to deliver the supplies. Any money left over will be directly donated.
