Dancing With the Stars pro dancer Britt Stewart penned an emotional tribute to Taylor Hanson after his shocking Season 35 elimination.
On Friday, October 2, Stewart, 37, took to Instagram with a message for the singer, 43, who rose to fame with his brothers, Isaac and Zac, thanks to their 1997 smash hit “MMMBop.”
Taylor, thank you for showing up fully and authentically. Thank you for trusting me. What we created together was bigger than how many weeks we were given to create it,” Stewart wrote. “I will forever be proud of our partnership and our DWTS journey together. Thank you for reminding me why I love to create and connect!”
Stewart continued, “There are times in your life that you know will impact you in big ways. I truly believe that having @taylorhanson as my partner for @dancingwiththestars Season 35 is and will be one of those times. I’m not even sure I am expressing the right words to sum it all up but all I know is that I’m grateful.”
To conclude her update, she shared, “From my heart, THANK YOU for the love, support and messages over the past few days. I feel it all and it means more than you know.”
Although Hanson and Stewart scored an 18/30 — higher than Sharna Burgess and Tyler Cameron‘s 17/30 and Guillermo Rodriguez and Witney Carson‘s 15/30 — they were eliminated from DWTS on September 29, thanks to viewer voting. They performed a yacht rock foxtrot to “What a Fool Believes” by The Doobie Brothers.
Meanwhile, Hanson also expressed his gratitude to Carson on his own Instagram grid.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who supported me, and the incomparable Britt Stewart on this journey,” he wrote on September 30.
He added, “The best things really do happen while you’re dancing, and the dance goes on.”

Taylor Hanson Signs With WME (Exclusive)

Taylor Hanson has signed with WME for worldwide representation in all areas.
The Grammy-nominated singer competed on season 35 of Dancing With the Stars this year, and has been working on his debut solo album, planned for release in 2027.
The Oklahoma- and Los Angeles-based artist got his early rise as part of Hanson, the band he formed with his brothers Isaac and Zac; they released their major label debut Middle of Nowhere in 1997, when he was merely 14 years old. The lead single “MMMBop” was a hit, reaching No. 1 in 27 countries. The record’s release resulted in Hanson’s three Grammy nominations as part of the band.
Hanson was also previously part of the supergroup Tinted Windows, alongside Bun E Carlos (Cheap Trick), James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins) and Adam Schlesinger (Fountains of Wayne).
Outside of music, Hanson is an entrepreneur, philanthropist and activist. He founded Food On The Move in 2014, which distributes millions of pounds of fresh produce to members of the Oklahoma community. He’s also an advocate for music education in schools, equitable laws and industry standards, having worked with Save The Music, MusiCares and GrammyU. He currently works as national co-chair of advocacy for the Recording Academy.
Hanson was partnered with Britt Stewart on DWTS‘ 35th season, who raved about their partnership in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
“I was born in ’89, so I grew up in the ’90s, and that’s when Hanson was number one on the charts. I am a millennial so I can appreciate the significance of Taylor Hanson and how awesome it is for him to be on Dancing With the Stars,” Stewart said. “I sighed in relief when he told me during our first meet, ‘I will do whatever you need me to do. If that means buying a cot and sleeping at the dance studio so we can rehearse all the time, that is what I will do.’ I was like, Okay, he wants to work for this. He’s in it to win it. That commitment is so important.”
Taylor Hanson Eliminated Following ‘Yacht Rock’ Special of ‘DWTS’: Watch

Taylor Hanson has done his last routine on Dancing with the Stars.
The 43-year-old Hanson co-founder slipped into his dancing shoes once again for Tuesday night’s (Sept. 29) edition of DWTS, which cruised into the first-ever “Yacht Rock Night.”
The remaining 13 celebrities and their pro partners had the task of dancing “to smooth grooves, soft-rock classics and iconic hits that defined the yacht rock era,” according to a statement from ABC, a musical lineup that included songs by Toto and Hall & Oates.
Wearing an all-white three-piece suit, Hanson and his dancing partner Britt Stewart, in a matching white dress, danced the Foxtrot to one of greatest works in the genre, Doobie Brothers’ “What A Fool Believes” – a Billboard Hot 100 leader back in 1979.
Many followers thought they’d done enough, including the DWTS social team. “Believe us, Taylor and Britt’s Foxtrot will live rent-free in our mind,” reads a post from the contest’s official Instagram.
Sadly, for Hanson and Stewart, the judges and viewers didn’t believe.
Hanson appeared more wooden than in his previous dances, which included a Quickstep to Billy Joel’s “Tell Her About It” and a Cha Chat to DNCE’s “Cake By The Ocean.”
When the votes were tallied, the pair scored just 18 out of 30 and were eliminated from the competition.
Speaking ahead of the season 35 premiere, Stewart said that Hanson was fully-committed. “Meeting Taylor was amazing. I was born in ’89, so I grew up in the ’90s, and that’s when Hanson was number one on the charts. I am a millennial so I can appreciate the significance of Taylor Hanson and how awesome it is for him to be on Dancing With the Stars,” she told The Hollywood Reporter.
“I kind of sighed in relief when he told me during our first meet, “I will do whatever you need me to do. If that means buying a cot and sleeping at the dance studio so we can rehearse all the time, that is what I will do.” I was like, Okay, he wants to work for this. He’s in it to win it. That commitment is so important.”
Now, they head for the exit.
Hanson and Stewart join previously ousted contestants Conner Leavitt (Secret Lives of Mormon Wives), Sarah Jane Nader (Love Thy Nader) and celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis.
Hanson made his fame as one of the three Hanson brothers — including Isaac and Zac — who ascended to pop stardom in the late ’90s. The Tulsa, Okla.-based trio topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 1997 with their smash hit “MMMBop,” which also scored Grammy nominations for record of the year and best pop performance by a duo or group with vocal.
He was the standout pop artist in Season 35 of DWTS, which airs live Tuesday night 8pm on ABC and Disney+, streaming the next day on Hulu.

Hey Taylor Hanson and Britt Stewart!

New HansonStage Feature: Volunteer to Be a Setlist Keeper
We have a new feature on HansonStage that we’re pretty excited about!
Starting with upcoming shows, HansonStage members can now volunteer to be the Setlist Keeper for a concert they’re attending. This replaces the old VolunteerSignup system.
What is a Setlist Keeper?
A Setlist Keeper is a HansonStage member who agrees to keep track of the songs played during a concert and submit the completed setlist to HansonStage after the show.
Accurate setlists are a huge part of what makes HansonStage what it is, and they wouldn’t be possible without fans in the audience paying attention to what happens on stage.
How does it work?
If you’re attending an upcoming show and are logged into your HansonStage account, you’ll see a:
🎵 VOLUNTEER AS SETLIST KEEPER
button on the tour page.
Click the button and you’ll be asked to confirm that:
- You are attending the show
- You agree to keep track of the songs played
- You will submit the completed setlist to HansonStage after the show
Once you confirm, you’re signed up!
Your status will then appear on the show as:
✓ You are the Setlist Keeper
Changed plans? No problem. You can cancel your Setlist Keeper commitment directly from the same page.
Why are we doing this?
For years, HansonStage has relied on fans to send in setlists after shows. That isn’t changing. What is changing is how we organize the people who volunteer to help.
By bringing the signup process directly into HansonStage, we can connect the volunteer with the specific show they’re attending and make it much easier to keep track of who has offered to help.
There’s now no separate signup website to remember – Just log in, find your show, and volunteer.
Going to a show?
If you’re attending a Hanson show and you’re willing to keep track of the setlist, please consider volunteering!
Even if you’ve never submitted a setlist before, it’s pretty straightforward. Keep track of the songs as they’re played, note any unusual arrangements, mashups, covers, or other details you think are important, and send the completed information to HansonStage after the show.
Those little details become part of the permanent record of the concert.
So if you’ve got a Hanson show coming up, keep an eye out for the new Setlist Keeper button on the tour page.
And thank you to everyone who has helped document Hanson shows over the years. HansonStage wouldn’t be what it is without you! 💙

Inside Hanson’s quiet $90m property move
It has been nearly three decades since the Hanson brothers stole the heart of teens across the world – now their lives are nothing as it once was.
It’s been nearly three decades since three long-haired brothers from Oklahoma bounced into global pop culture with the record-breaking hit MMMBop — and Hanson fever is hitting again, with Taylor Hanson’s turn on season 35 of Dancing With the Stars sending Millennials wild and revving up fresh love for the band’s back catalogue.
In 1997, Isaac, now 45, Taylor, 43, and Zac Hanson, 40, were teenagers taking the world by storm.
Fast-forward to today and the brothers sit on a combined net worth estimated at $US60m ($A90m+).
The siblings run an independent business empire while keeping a low profile in real estate.
While many 90s pop stars rushed out to buy sprawling mansions in the Hollywood Hills or penthouses in Manhattan, the band took a different path and stayed in Oklahoma.
Following their multi-platinum success, the family purchased a 120-acre compound in Mounds, Oklahoma. The home was sold at auction in 2011 for an undisclosed price.
The estate featured six bedrooms, a game room, and a resort-style pool with a cabana.
It also included a custom recording studio converted from a three-car garage, where they recorded parts of their 2010 album Shout It Out.
Over the years, the family hosted private music retreats at the estate with guests including Weird Al Yankovic and Jason Mraz, before eventually auctioning off parts of the acreage.
Instead of acquiring trophy homes, the trio poured a substantial chunk of their fortune into real estate that doubled as business infrastructure.
In 2003, they bought commercial property in downtown Tulsa to establish 3CG Studio.
The headquarters serves as the operational base for 3CG Records, their independent record label, creative studio, and merchandise hub.
Today, all three brothers own private residences tucked away in Tulsa, keeping their households rooted in their hometown while travelling for global tours.
The specific residential addresses are closely guarded to preserve family privacy for their combined total of 15 children.
Taylor lives in Tulsa with his wife, Natalie, and their seven children, where he is heavily involved in local community initiatives and founded the non-profit Food On The Move.

He’s also back in the spotlight in a big way, competing on season 35 of Dancing With the Stars alongside professional dancer Britt Stewart – a move that has sparked a major wave of 90s nostalgia and online excitement among millennial fans.
Supporters who grew up listening to MMMBop and Hanson’s breakout album Middle of Nowhere have flooded TikTok, Instagram and Facebook to cheer him on, with fan frenzy reportedly reaching such a level during the premiere that outages hit the official voting and ABC website, prompting devoted “Fansons” to jokingly claim they had crashed the servers with a flood of votes.
Taylor Hanson knew EXACTLY what happened in the first week of Dancing With The Stars when the website crashed – and the Hanson fandom knew too.
Isaac, meanwhile, resides in the area with his wife, Nicole, and their three children, focusing on the business operations of 3CG Records.
Zac maintains his family home in Tulsa with his wife, Kate, and their five children.
Isaac, Taylor and Zac bounced into global pop culture with the record-breaking hit MMMBop.
The siblings run an independent business empire while keeping a low profile in real estate.
Outside music, Zac runs a family gaming channel and was ordained as a deacon in the Eastern Orthodox Church in 2023.
Unlike child stars who lost fortunes to bad management deals, Hanson took control of their fortune in 2003 by walking away from their major record label.
By owning their master recordings, controlling publishing rights, and running their own global touring operation, they cut out middleman fees.
The group has released 11 studio albums and continues to sell out international runs across Australia, North America, and Europe.
In 2013, they expanded into the beverage industry by launching Hanson Brothers Beer.
Leaning into the irony of their breakout hit, their flagship brew is an award-winning pale ale named MMMHops.
They also co-founded The Hop Jam, an annual craft beer and music festival in Tulsa drawing tens of thousands of visitors.
Taylor Hanson advances on ‘Dancing With the Stars’

Taylor Hanson of the Tulsa pop-rock trio Hanson is still dancing.
Hanson is among competitors on the current season of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars.”
Sixteen celebrities — eight men and eight women — accepted invitations to compete. The field was cut to 13 after a Tuesday, Sept. 22 episode. Hanson survived and advanced for a second consecutive week.
Hanson, with partner Britt Stewart, danced a cha cha to the DNCE song “Cake By the Ocean” during the show’s “viral hits night.” Yacht rock will be the spotlighted genre in the next episode.
Spoiler alert: Chef and TV personality Giada De Laurentiis was the celebrity who was sent home a the end of the most recent episode.
