NEW From The Band

This Week

This week we have all spent a bit of time catching up (on sleep, personal life and the many projects at HANSON HQ) after a great stint on the other side of the planet in Australia. As we look forward to the next project/song/tour the thing we want to say again is Thank You to everyone we connected with throughout the previous two weeks down-under. The Shout It Out Tour has taken us all over the world, and it never ceases to amaze us just how far music can reach. Every night of the Australian tour we were inspired by the fervor and energy of so many of YOU, and each night it instilled a further mission to make plans for our return. In addition to the tour dates, we also had two landmark fanclub events (our first MOE’s in Australia) which were a lot of fun and allowed us to meet many of you who have joined the Hanson.net worldwide community. We also have to give a shout out to the many street team members who have joined up to help spread the word about everything HANSON, Thank You for showing your support by giving time and passion to spread the word. Of course the great thing about what we do is there’s always a new idea to be birthed, a new song to be written and a next tour to plan. This week we are doing just that, looking forward, and no doubt one thing we look forward to is our return the great country of Australia. Here we go. Have a great week!

My First Hanson Concert: Shout It Out Tour

I Went With: My Little Sister

I expected the show to…:
be amazing. But not expect it to be as intense as it was. I was blown
away and taken back to when I was 7 years old hearin Mmmbop for the
first time

We waited in line for this long…:
we waited for 2 hours, i didnt think it was a great idea to do it any
longer with an 11 year old.

My favorite song they did was::
All of them.

But the absolute favourite would most probably be when Zac sang Go by
himself with his acoustic guitar.

And of cause MmmBop being sang as a chorus by 1,500 people sounds
amazing.

A funny thing that happened during the show was…:
Ike taking off his tie and the crowd going wild. And the leap of the
drum kit. haha did not expect that.

After the show we…:
waited to make sure ot was really over.

The show did/did not meet my expectations because…:
it meet my expectations and then some. I cant even put in to words how
amazing it was for me to finally attend a Hanson gig after being a fan
for 15 years. Absoultely brilliant feeling, I sang along to every
song, and screamed so much that i was surprised i could talk to day.

Anything else you would like to include:
I would like to thank the guys for being so amazing. They have helped
me through some hard times, With You In Your Dreams was performed last
night and it brought me to tears, just like everytime i hear it.
Hearing them perform it live was mind blowing and an emotional moment
for me, its the first song I played after my Grandfather had lost his
battle with cancer. It brings back happy and sad memories but it
helped me through the hardest part.

Fan Club Merchandise Design Contest Winner

Over the last few weeks we have had hundreds of entries into the Members Merchandise Design Contest, far more then we had expected. It has been great to see so many members of the Hanson community joining in and sharing their artistic ideas, and more than anything, we have loved taking our own inspiration from your designs.

We are excited about doing this again soon, but until then, congratulations to Lauren on winning the contest. Great job on your design!

About the Design

The design is by the Hanson.net member Laurenlamb

Here is what she said about her design:
In my design, I used the lyrics from the song Been There Before – “When you can’t get through it, you can listen to it” because they have always spoken to me. Hanson’s music has helped me through a lot of times through the years, growing up. I thought this short, simple phrase would be a perfect message for a t-shirt because it’s got a little bit of a punchline/kick – but it’s a little bit deeper than one may think!

NEW From The Band

This Week

This week we have been in the middle of an AMAZING tour across Australia. We have seen the beauty of the country from Syndey to Melbourne Brisbane,Adelaide and tonight we arrive here on the Gold Coast. It is always hard to pick favorites when it comes to the great places we are able to visit but there is no question that the Aussie fans have set a really high mark for amazing energy at the shows, friendliness and general awesomeness…(don’t think that is a word). In between shows we stopped pulled together a cover of Ms. Taylor Swift’s song “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” which was fun (in case you did not catch it, HERE’s the link to the vid) and we even brought it into the live show in Melbourne for a proper full band rendition.

Yesterday we took a bit of time out to visit with the local wildlife while we were in Brisbane and got to feel like giddy kids holding Koala’s, feed Kangaroo and got aquainted with the local reptile population. Even the animal kingdom was welcoming, aside from the Emu ,who seemed to be having a bad day, it’s hard to be the other huge bird besides the Ostrich I guess). Tay’s been grabbing a snaps from along the way, with a few beauty shots of the scenery, and some that were captured of a couple of the shows. We hope that all of you Aussie’s that have joined us (and even some that have traveled from the US, Asia and Europe that we have seen) have loved the tour as much as we have.

We are not quite finished yet, but what a great tour so far. Thanks to everybody how has joined us. We are really excited about what is ahead, but for the moment we are just taking in our final days down-under.
