Flashback Friday – Live & Electric 2005
The first friday of every month we are going to flashback to a past Hanson tour with the songs that were performed during each tour. Check out the show(s) you went to on that tour to see if you have a ticket or setlist we don’t already have posted. If you do, send it to tickets@hansonstage.com so we can try and get the site as accurate as possible!
The Live and Electric Tour was in late 2005 promoting the release of Hanson’s second live album. At most tour stops the guys went to a college the day or morning before the show for a short acoustic set and a screening of their documentary, Strong Enough to Break. If you went to a college performance, please check out the 2005 page to make sure we have the right setlist for the short set! The tour was short, 25 dates – with 2 being canceled due to Hurricane Wilma. 467 songs were sung, 49 of which were unique.

This Record Changed My Life
Taylor Hanson | Artist
Otis Redding – The Dock Of The BayIt’s just an incredible song and it’s so much about his performance and the emotional connection he makes when he sings that song. I was probably ten or eleven when I first heard it. Otis Redding is one of the great vocalists and songwriters of his generation and he had such a short window of time where he made music; I think that also shines a great light on the music he had made. He died when he was 26 in a plane crash and the music that he made, especially in the last two years – I mean his songs are still covered, his records are still influencing music, so I think it’s that aspect of his inspiration on the Earth, for me. It’s about writing music that lasts, writing songs that are repeated down the line, and that’s what we’re trying to do.
Taylor Hanson Welcomes Daughter Wilhelmina Jane
There’s a new baby girl in the Hanson family!
“Natalie and I are thrilled to announce the arrival of our newest family member, Wilhelmina Jane Hanson,” Taylor tells PEOPLE exclusively. “She arrived on Tuesday, Oct. 2, and was welcomed by more love than could fit in the room.”
Taylor, 29 — who is one third of the band Hanson with his brothers Isaac and Zac — and Natalie, 28, told PEOPLE in April that they were expecting again, and announced in July that baby on the way was a girl.
Wilhelmina joins siblings Ezra, who turns 10 on Oct. 31, Penelope, 7; River, 6; and Viggo, 3½.
And in a family of unique names, choosing one for her new baby girl was of the utmost importance to Natalie.
“Thinking back on all the children’s names has helped to give me a fresh perspective in choosing the name for the baby girl we are expecting in the fall,” Natalie blogged over the summer.
“It has helped to remind me how the right name seems to come at the right time and how, no matter how ‘perfect’ the choice, it will only be a part of all this little person will become.”
Hanson just completed a world tour for their album Shout It Out, with sold-out dates throughout Australia. They are now working on their sixth studio album, set for release in 2013.

What is the very first memory of Hanson that you have?:
I found a Hanson poster in a poster store back in 1997. I had to tell
my mom that they weren’t girls lol That’s when I first got into their
music.
How many times have you seen Hanson in concert? Favorite concert
memory?:
I’ve seen Hanson 6 times in concert. I have so many favorite memories,
the best is probably back in 2010 when I made my first group of
friends at a Hanson concert and we’ve become the crew that goes to the
concerts together. That group has since expanded with each concert.
What is your favorite Hanson song, and why?:
That constantly changes with each album, but I’d have to say
‘Madeline’ because it has taken on so many different meanings over the
years and I love how it always evolves.
Why do you like/love Hanson?:
I love Hanson because they have always been a constant in my life,
since I was child. I’ve found hope and comfort through their music
over the years. I couldn’t imagine my life without their music, it
just wouldn’t be complete.
How long have you been a Hanson fan?:
15 years 🙂
Why should you be FAN OF THE MONTH?:
I find this blog incredibly informative and I think that Hanson
touches many lives, including mine, in different ways, and this blog
adds to the many different ways that they have touched their fan’s
life.
