MEIKO New Album up for Pre-Order
Past Hanson Opener Meiko has a new album that is now available for pre-order! She has set up an account through PledgeMusic where you can pre-order the album as well as get some other cool items that won’t be available anywhere else! She writes to her email list, “By offering the ore-order of the album a bit earlier than normal, I’m able to bring you into the process once again. From the demoing of the new tracks, to fighting with/high-fiving the producer, to what happens when there’s downtime in the studio, to meeting all the great musicians involved, to the release of the record, to my life on the road – you’ll be right there beside me with a birds-eye view!” Meiko will also be donating a portion of the proceeds raised through Pledge Music to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
Check out the project at PledgeMusic, you can pre-order the album for $10 (digital, $15 hard copy) and be kept in the loop with what is going on with the recording process. Other exclusives are available for $25-$1500 and include T-Shirts, Posters, Lyric Sheets and more!

The Vamps Interview: Touring With Taylor Swift, Covering Hanson + What Inspired ‘Can We Dance’ [EXCLUSIVE VIDEO] Read More: The Vamps Interview: Taylor Swift Tour, Covering Hanson + ‘Can We Dance’ [VIDEO]
Meeting the Vamps is probably just like you’d imagine it would be, but better: awesome, memorable and ridiculous (in a good way). When PopCrush sat down to chat with Bradley, James, Tristan and Connor at their record label’s office while they were in town for a New York gig, we literally had to stifle laughter as they answered our questions, since this was all being filmed and we didn’t want to mess up the sound on the video. This was not easy. These guys were in a loopy mood.
The topics discussed seemed normal enough on paper: opening for Taylor Swift on tour in the U.K., the story of what makes the Vamps special, covering amazing pop songs like Hanson‘s ‘MMMBop’ on YouTube and telling us how the catchy single ‘Can We Dance’ came about. (The interview took place before ‘Last Night’ was released, or we would have brought that up as well!)
But watch the video above to see just how much fun our session turned out to be. Most importantly, though, tune in to find out what part of our interview resulted in this reaction from the guys:
We don’t want to give too much away, but you might want to turn your volume down just a little bit before hitting the 2:15 mark on the video. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
Visit PopCrush all week as we roll out more videos from our visit with the Vamps — including a game of Pop Dive and #Crushing. Plus, we’ll also be announcing more exciting plans we have with the band!

[SATIRE] Hanson Will Headline 2014 Viking Fest
[The following article is Satire – it is made up and fake. This site is something like theonion is in the USA. Hanson will not be headlining the event and the article is made up. ]
POULSBO–This year’s Viking Fest will feature 1990′s hit sensation Hanson as the headliner for Saturday’s festivities. Event coordinators confirmed this morning that all three brothers from the multi-platinum selling pop band will be in performance.
Hanson is best known for their smash hit “mmp Bop” that reached #1 on the billboards and cast them in the national spotlight.
Local resident and Viking Way statue Daniel is excited to see his favorite childhood band play. Daniel snapped a photo with the band during a short detour through Poulsbo on their 2007 Malls of America Tour. ”Ol’ Em Ghee!” Daniel exclaimed, “I shall no longer wallow in the anguish for now I hath come to see Hanson live”.
Daniel isn’t the only one excited. Special seating for non-violent sexual predators will make it accessible to the band’s largest group of followers.
Viking Fest will be held on May 16, 17, and 18th in downtown Poulsbo.
