Name: Kristine
Location: US
What is the very first memory of Hanson that you have?
David Letterman and the stint on SNL when MMMBop was playing on the elevator
How many times have you seen Hanson in concert? Favorite concert memory?
4, not enough. The walk, it opened my eyes to new things. I carried huge blisters on my feet for three weeks. I wore them proudly. It made me think – I walked for one mile and this happened to me. There are those who have to walk like this every day. But I would do it again!
What is your favorite Hanson song and why?
MMMBop, because it was the start of something great. I am always partial to the first known songs, memories begin to be created. Brought our family to new sounds.
Why do you like/love Hanson?
Because they are real and they care about everyone. Fans, other musicians, life. They live by their own motto.
How long have you been a Hanson fan?
Since the beginning
Why should you be fan of the month?
Because I truly love their music, they put all of them into each song. I am an older fan, I have reintroduced Hanson to many people. I plan on filling the place up with cougars next time they are in town!
Hanson “Finally It’s Christmas” Stream
Saturday night, Hanson had their “Finally It’s Christmas” stream on Hanson.net. Here are some highlights!
The guys started the stream with a bit of an intro and talked about what would be in store for the stream
After a short break, they performed “Rockin Around The Christmas Tree”
In the kitchen with Taylor to make Cinnamon and Sugar Donuts
Back to chatting they inform us they are not Bon Jovi, The Bee Gees or Perry Como cloned 3 times. Zac talks about a new game called Wits and Wagers for next years Thanksgiving or this coming Christmas to play. They reminisced about how Snowed In and Middle of Nowhere’s 20th anniversaries are fast approaching. They will never sing the 12 days of Christmas, unless it is the Arby’s version. When recording the new Christmas song, it made Isaac want to record more Christmas songs.
After another break, the guys performed Merry Christmas Baby
Then we were treated to the Making of the Song for Finally It’s Christmas video
Zac revealed that they’re not in their living room but they are in their studio made to look like a living room. They talk some more about recording Snowed In and turning off the world to record it and not being sure they’d get it done. The idea to make the record was presented in July or August and needed to be ready to release in November. It was recorded in September, done by October 1. It was recorded at Hook End studio outside of London. Now they do recording and turn off the world in Texas and working on a Christmas album in the summer in Texas is not a good idea. They talk about the Christmas items, a lot have sold out but some items are still left. Zac talks about an article where a video game controller draws blood. Taylor talks a bit about the ICON book and the 3 songs that didn’t make the record.
Time for a new Christmas song performance – Finally It’s Christmas!
Taylor’s doughnut dough has chilled and it is time to make the doughnuts!
Back to the performance area, the guys sing “At Christmas”
