So far Hanson has played 3 shows at SXSW and has 2 more to go (that we know of). Here are a link the the setlists:
Last night’s Leon Russell Tribute at the Grammy Block Party (might be partial and out of order)
Tulsa Boom Showcase at Bungalow (might be partial and out of order)
This morning’s KGSR Radio show (setlist is complete – 2 songs & interview)
Later today they play at Steampunk Saloon “West of the Fest” 2:30-2:45pm
and tomorrow at Southwest Invasion at 6:15pm.
7:55 p.m. — Hanson and some friends from their native Oklahoma whipped into “Delta Lady” to kick off a tribute to another of the state’s heroes, the late Leon Russell, during the Recording Academy party. “Leon left a huge hole, but he also left a lot of songs that will last forever,” Taylor Hanson told the crowd of mostly Recording Academy members. “We’re honored to just scratch the surface.” The troupe hit most of the right moments, with drummer Zac Hanson singing “Roll Away The Stone,” Isaac Hanson and John Fullbright sharing vocals on “Home Sweet Oklahoma” and Fullbright leading a jaunty take on “If I Were A Carpenter,” “Tightrope” and “Stranger In A Strange Land,” the latter also featuring Austin saxophonist Carlos Sosa. Taylor Hanson ended the show with a solo “Song For You” and promised to champion Russell, who died Nov. 13 at the age of 74, for a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in the coming year. The performance was accompanied by a live painting of a Russell portrait that will be auctioned to benefit MusiCares. — Gary Graff

Hanson got their big break at the South by Southwest softball tournament in 1994. “MMMBop” came out in 1997. Why go to a Hanson show at South by Southwest in 2017?
“I didn’t know they existed still,” said Astrid Fuglevaag of Oslo, Norway. “I was huge fan in the late ’90s, early 2000s. … When I saw they would be here, I was so stoked. It was suddenly the thing I was most stoked for.”
Tara Powdrill of Austin and her sister, Heather Panettiere, were “basically reliving our middle school days in sixth grade when (Hanson) came out.” The sisters, originally from Kilgore but now living in Austin, said that they might not know many songs aside from that aforementioned, onomatopoeic single, but as Powdrill said, “I feel like once they start playing their old stuff, I’ll know.”
“It’s gonna all come back to me,” said Panettiere, comparing the prospect of seeing Hanson live to seeing Mariah Carey in Las Vegas.

Tess Yarbrough, who splits her time between Victoria and Austin, said she has five friends in the official Hanson fan club, all of whom she met at different shows in different states. She was quick to point out that the band has their own beer (Mmmhops) and an official “Hanson Day,” which actually stretches over three days in May. Yarbrough had never seen the brothers play, but her friends “would kill me if I didn’t go to the Hanson show,” she said.
All of these ready and willing potential converts to the Church of Zac, Taylor and Isaac came to Bungalow on Thursday for one reason: to see what a Hanson show was all about these days. The band is a curious thing: undeniably a one-or-so-hit wonder, they’ve maintained steady artistic output and passionate grass roots support from their diehards. They’re still a recognizable enough name to perk their interest of anyone taking a highlighter to their SXSW schedule. But to many of the people they drew to their set, the brothers were somewhat unknown quantities.

Also unknown for a good portion of the evening: when the band would show up.
Hanson’s Twitter account later tweeted about their “throw and go” show, so there was definitely some seat of the pants action going on.
Hanson’s soul-tinged rock seemed to work like muscle memory or the trio once they finally took the stage. It’s a good bet the diehards got what they came for. Perhaps once the casual attendees seeking a nostalgia rush confirmed the existence of the band with their own eyes, they got what they came for. They waited 20 years for the moment, so really, 40 more minutes was probably a drop in the bucket.

Tara and Isaac after she correctly answered during Isaac’s trivia at BTTI 2016!
This week the young brothers best known for singing “MMMBop” announced that to mark their 25th anniversary as the pop group Hanson, they’ll celebrate with a hometown performance in May at Oklahoma’s fourth annual Hop Jam Festival (an occasion for craft beers and music) followed by a world tour. The trio co-founded the festival, which is an unsurprising fact given that the band owns Hanson Brothers Beer Company (and sells a pale ale called Mmmhops). To honor the late-’90s teen heartthrobs, today we revisit their feature from the pages of Interview‘s July 1997 issue, years before they reached the legal drinking age.

By Dimitri Ehrlich
“How did this happen so fast? Can you tell us that?” asks Zac Hanson, youngest member of Hanson, the new teen sensation band made up of three brothers, aged eleven, fourteen, and sixteen, from Tulsa, Okla. Hanson’s first disc for Mercury Records, a giddy collection of highly crafted pop called Middle of Nowhere, shipped gold to record stores on the strength of the single “MMMBop,” which then shot to number one. Everywhere the Hansons go, crowds clamor for them; at a taping of David Letterman the day their album was released, a long line of young girls—and a few grown men—were whimpering for their autographs.
The reasons for the fuss are not mysterious. When Zac, Isaac (the oldest), and Taylor (in the middle) weave their signature sunny harmonies over an R&B-lite groove, it’s as if they’ve triple-handedly updated the Osmonds, the Partridge Family, and the Jackson Five all at once. Their sound is as safe and clean as it gets, yet their songs deal with contemporary, even adult, themes. And with their long blond hair, all three boys are downright pretty, putting a spin on rock’s age-old androgyny. While the teen-idol lifestyle may exacerbate normal sibling rivalry, all three Hansons insist that squabbling has yet to rear its ugly head. “They’re like my best friends,” grins Zac. “Only bester.”
