HANSON: With Bells On

By | December 4, 2020

We’re getting into the Holiday Spirit….including justifying our best/worst Christmas Sweaters. Looking forward to sharing holiday cheer for our Christmas Ball livestreams starting this Friday!

There is probably no better way to put you in the holiday mood than singing a Christmas song and we can attest to it because we have been singing them 8+ hours a day, all week long rehearsing for this weekends streams!

Every month since October, we have been hosting a new streaming concert series, and every month brings a new musical theme. Surprise surprise December’s theme is “The Christmas Ball”. It would be hard to find a better example of how powerful music can be than the way it frames this time of year. November comes and goes and before the turkey is even cold the bright playful sounds of sleigh bells begin ringing, and you can’t help but smile a little. Don’t misunderstand. It could be said that much of the worst music ever made is played on repeat in department stores in late December, but where there are very low lows, there are also the highest of highs. If you don’t enjoy a little Vince Guaraldi Trio, Nat King Cole, or Bing Crosby, you might be a grinch.

Don’t fret. Even your favorite holiday jam won’t be so for long if you put it on repeat for 30 days straight, that’s why we are working up nearly every Christmas song we know for this weekends streams, just to keep the greenery green.

For all the Hanson.net members, we have more HTP Episodes coming every Wednesday in December from now until we break for Christmas. We have had a blast putting them together all year long and are looking forward to three more episodes and whatever madness they will bring before we close out 2020 and begin rehearsing for our January 2021 streams.

We hope you will join us live from Cains Ballroom tomorrow!

The Christmas Ball concert will give fans a chance to hear Christmas classics along with special live performances of fan favorites from the band’s catalog. For information on the livestreaming concerts, go to Hanson.net.

We’re getting excited for the Christmas Ball Shows this weekend and we hope you are feeling the same, so let’s make it official. We are encouraging those attending in person and everyone watching online to look their best! Whether in your formal Christmas Ball evening attire or maybe something more comfortable like an oh so ugly Christmas sweater, we want to know you’re celebrating before we even hear you singing! We don’t want to say there is a dress code, but you’re invited to join us in dressing the part. We will be giving out three prize packages for “most festive/best dressed” so be sure to post a photo with the hashtag #TheChristmasBall Or #Hanson from wherever you are watching this weekend.
