MESSAGE FROM THE BAND
Tonight we have another stream from the making of In Color, the new Hanson.net members EP for 2017. The stream starts at 6PM CT and will loop through the weekend so make sure to tune in. In Color won’t be released until HANSON Day weekend, but you can get a taste of what is to come by watching the weekly Member’s streams each Friday from inside the studio.
We continue to rehearse for the Middle Of Everywhere world tour. We are now less then a week from finishing and feeling good about how the show is coming together. Doing an anniversary tour might mean a lot of different things to different people, for us first and foremost it is about celebrating how much we have been through together. Twenty five years is a long time and there has been a lot of music along the way. We are playing a little bit of music from almost ever point in our career and trying to create a musical arc that that grabs people and takes them on a journey. This year feels different; it feels special. This anniversary has been a long time in the making, but looking back at the songs and thinking about the places we have gone, it has really been worth every struggle along the way. This year we start something new all over again and the Middle Of Everywhere tour is just the perfect way for things to begin.
Rehearsal has been our focus over the past week or two, but yesterday we took a break from the musical grind and turned our attention to shooting a new video for our song I Was Born. We had a lot of ideas for what the visual should be, how to connect with the song’s lyrics, with the message of living your dreams or doing something extraordinary and in the end we settled on a very simple idea.
Keep it Simple Stupid… or was it stupid simple?
It was a very full day, with lots of props and costumes, but it was a blast. We won’t really know how it turned out until the edit is finished in a few weeks, but if it comes together the way we hope, everyone who watches it will feel the tug to step up and check something off the ever growing bucket list.
