The trip from Dallas to Portland takes roughly three days on a tour bus. That may not seem bad, but when you are passing by your house on the way, most anyone would opt to disembark from the land submarine and rejoin the circus in Portland via jet. It was refreshing to have a stop over in Tulsa mid tour, it is a rare respite from the day-to-day grind of tour life and just long enough to be refreshing, but not enough to forget that there is still work to be done. We are at the Hawthorn theater in Portland and almost all the surfaces are black. Some are painted, some slowly turned from years of hard use, but mostly all black. The stage is low-set with no barricade and everything smells a little, but once the music starts it feels great. God bless Rock Clubs everywhere. As we are about to pass Halloween and head into a season of the year more devoted to giving thanks, it should be said we are very thankful for an amazing tour so far. We have another show
tonight in Portland and then head to California to wrap up the RNR Tour before crossing the expanse of the North American continent to finish things up in Florida at Epcot.
