C’mon, admit it. If you were a female tween or young teen in the mid-’90s, you probably had a thing for Hanson. The pop hit “MMMBop” inspired lots of dancing in front of the bedroom mirror, and you argued with friends about which member of the boy band was cuter: Isaac, Taylor or Zac.
If Hanson remains a guilty pleasure, you’ll be glad to hear the group has booked an Oct. 26 date in Birmingham at the WorkPlay soundstage. The 8 p.m. bill includes Steel Train and Sherwood.
Tickets are $25 in advance, $27 on the show date, on sale at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 25. See the WorkPlay Web site or call 205-380-4082 for more info.
Hanson’s last disc was 2008’s “The Walk.” The band of brothers — all grown up now and leaning to rock — has performed twice before at WorkPlay, in 2007 and 2008.
