The rumors are true?

A quick google search of “Hanson and hellogoodbye” leads you to the Developing Artist Booking page.

Hey Everyone,

Hope the summer is treating you well!! Just wanted to let you know of some great ideas for fall concerts. There’s no better time to start planning for your fall show as artists are piecing together their tour routing right now. Also, most artists are available for one-off plays as well. Let’s talk!

Listed, on one line together, are Hanson and hellogoodbye.

All that’s missing is official confirmation from the band(s)

I just don’t GET it. I know they were probably like twelfth choice for the guys to tour with, but the music is nothing alike and I really don’t imagine there’s going to be much new interest between their fanbases. And I don’t know a lot about how ticket sales get split up, but I checked their MySpace and it looks like they play much smaller venues than Hanson; I wonder how many tickets they actually do sell.

I’m not even familiar with the band – I was at a concert with a much younger crowd and their song came on (which at the time, I didn’t know who sang it) and everyone went nuts and was singing along. If they are going to bring in an immature, younger crowd, I’m not sure I’m into it.

Yeah, they were on the Warped Tour a few years ago, which, in my experience, those kind of fans skew a little less mature and a whole lot indier-and-punker-than-thou. And, I know we have a few crazies, we always will, but if you take out the kind of nutjobs that draw Hanson logos on their underwear and wear them outside their pants, I think the majority of us are more laid back. I’m not into it either and I think it’s a weird (maybe even a bad) idea.

It’s interesting too because usually when they announce openers, it is either someone recommended highly from my friends or someone that I am already a fan of. This band is neither and it seems like there’s a lot more negativity coming out against them than there ever has been with openers before. (Except maybe M2M)

I actually like the idea of them co-headlining. It is a fantastic business choice for them. The only reservation I have is the idea that Hanson’s set will be shorter than normal, which will affect how many shows I go to. But if I end up really liking Hellogoodbye, then that will be cool. Yeah, their music is really nothing like, but if anything, that gives both bands the chance to broaden their fanbase a little bit.
