Hanson Brothers have a new release next week, but it isn’t a song. It is a beer.

Some of you may have already had an opportunity to try it during the Hop Jam Beer Festival. The official release of the farmhouse ale, which is called Hop Jam Festive Ale, will be at Fassler Hall, 304 S. Elgin Ave., at 6 p.m. Thursday.

“Our new release of the Festive Ale has been a long time coming, and we are thrilled to make it our second year-round style after Mmmhops. This Farmhouse Ale is incredibly flavorful but lighter and more refreshing than its Pale Ale brother,” said Taylor Hanson of Hanson Brothers Beer Co.

“The beer was originally crafted as a special release for our annual Hop Jam Beer and Music Festival back in 2014, and has continued to be a favorite at the festival three years running. This beer is true to the Saison style, with a refreshing bright foundation that comes from wheat, barley and rye, with a bit of extra citrus and spice from the addition of orange peel and coriander, and, of course, a clean bittering finish from the hops. We are looking forward to sharing this beer and many more styles with craft beer fans everywhere.”
