NEW From The Band
This Week It is hard to believe basic recording is almost finished for the new album. We have been rocking it in the studio for the past two weeks and have all been really happy with how much we have been able to complete, and how good it has been sounding. We have two more days of basic recording before we get a much-needed day off. It feels a little like Captain Kirk asking for more power from engineering, but with no time to waste we just brew more coffee, pass out the five hour energy’s and turn up the volume because we got to make it happen. At this point energy is low but spirits are high, all that is left is the stretch for the finish line. We will have a day off in a few days but after that we will go straight into phase three “Over buds”. We are trying to get as much done as possible before we break over Christmas and New Years. Flashback Friday – The Walk Tour 2007
The first friday of every month we are going to flashback to a past Hanson tour with the songs that were performed during each tour. Check out the show(s) you went to on that tour to see if you have a ticket or setlist we don’t already have posted. If you do, send it to tickets@hansonstage.com so we can try and get the site as accurate as possible!
In the Fall of 2007 Hanson embarked on The Walk Tour. There were 43 shows. The tour kicked off in Nashville, TN in September and ended in December in Minneapolis, MN. 3 shows in early October were canceled/postponed due to Isaac’s falling ill with a blood clot in his arm. These shows were rescheduled in November. We are missing 2 setlists from this tour – Kansas City and San Diego. 987 total songs were sung, with 57 of them being unique.

What is the very first memory of Hanson that you have?:
The very first time I saw MMMBop on TV and after that not being able to let go of their music!
How many times have you seen Hanson in concert? Favorite concert
memory?:
8 times!
Favorite memory: M&G in Stuttgart (2011) – having the most random conversation with Zac about cheese!
What is your favorite Hanson song, and why?:
I can’t say that I have on specific favorite song! It’s too difficult to choose 1 song while there are so many songs I love!
Why do you like/love Hanson?:
Their music has always helped me through the most difficult and happiest moments in my life! There’s a Hanson song for every situation 😉
How long have you been a Hanson fan?:
’97 duh!
Why should you be FAN OF THE MONTH?:
I’m not going to say that I deserve it more than others to be FOTM!
We’re all in it for the music and therefor everybody deserves it!

NEW From The Band
This Week What a week this has been, what a long awaited week as well. This has been our first week of recording for the new album, album number six. Things have been going really well, we are five songs in, and by the end of today should have our sixth song finished. I should clarify right now we are only recording Basics. It is basically like a live version of the song, but with zero mistakes, perfect isolation between the parts and great sounds. Much of the way we are recording this album is similar to the way we recorded “Shout It Out”. We are starting each song by playing the drums Keyboard and Guitar/Bass live off the floor. At that point we call the song done and move on to another track knowing that we will be doing all the overdubs at a later date, tambourine, shakers, background vocals, chimes, horns, strings, you name it, it all comes later. One of the other things that is similar to “Shout It Out” is we are producing this one ourselves, no outside force need ed, just the three amigos, and Tonto … I know that is me mixing cinema with television. We hope all of you are having a great start to the holidays, pulling out the lights and greenery, making mulling spices and cider. Listening to Christmas music (Preferably Snowed In) as you sit by the fire, listening to the sound of Jingle Bells. This is a great time of year that can easily get lost in the shuffle to buy “the perfect gift”. Make sure to enjoy it. We have one more week of recording basics, and then we will start into overdubs but soon after stop for a holiday break. Isaac,Taylor and Zac Hanson |

This Week This week Thanksgiving is officially upon us. So for all of the US fans, we hope you are all looking forward to gatherings to enjoy too much food, and good times around the family table. We are celebrating Thanksgiving in a unique fashion, tucked away in a studio far from civilization preparing to record new music that will be the foundation for next years studio album (woohoo). We are really excited about everything ahead of us as we move into the Holiday season, whether it’s the new music that is finally taking shape and the plans for a big 2013 or the coming holiday season which will no doubt include all the good stuff of this weeks thanksgiving holiday (good food, friends, family) plus a bit of quality time off the grid to prepare for 2013.
