What Hanson Songs have you heard live?

By | May 19, 2013

We have just added a new fun feature to the site – what hanson songs have you heard live and how many times?

Head over to: http://hansonstage.com/stats/shows.php

And select which Hanson shows you have attended.  These will be official tour shows / members only events only and color coded by tours.  When you are done selecting, hit “submit” and you will see a list, by album, of what songs you have heard and how many. (Assuming we have the setlists to all of your shows on file)

If you think there is an error – you can check what songs songs have been performed at by going to http://hansonstage.com/stats/songs.php

And you can double check the set list that we have on file for each show at http://hansonstage.com/stats/setlists.php

As of right now there is no way to save what you check so you will need to print the page or save it to your computer.  We hope to sometime in the future allow this but we don’t have a timeline of when it will be made available.

If you find any problems with setlists or have any suggestions – please email us tickets@hansonstage.com

Readers' Poll: The Ten Worst Bands of the Nineties

Hanson

4. Hanson

It’s easy to see why some people resent Hanson. They were the first teen act of the decade to sell millions of records. (The New Kids on the Block began in the Eighties.) Major labels (again) realized the potential in selling records to tween girls; they had been overlooking them for years. It wasn’t long until the Backstreet Boys, N’Sync, Britney Spears and tons of others were all over the radio. That said, it’s a little unfair to blame Hanson for that. They weren’t assembled by some Svengali and 40-year-old Swedish men didn’t write their songs. They were brothers who wrote their own material and made it very, very, very big. They also looked like girls, and “MMMBop” became very annoying after you heard it 10 million times. Many grew to hate them, and that feeling lingers to this day. The group has survived, though. Many of the original fans are still obsessed with them, and they still make a healthy living on the road.

Canada: Hanson Announce ANTHEM Out June 18 and Canadian Fall Tour

By | May 17, 2013

NEW ALBUM, ANTHEM, TO BE RELEASED JUNE 18 MSN CANADA HOSTS EXCLUSIVE VIDEO PREMIERE CANADIAN TOUR BEGINS OCTOBER 2 IN VANCOUVER

Toronto, ON – Pop-Rock trio HANSON are excited to announce the release of their new album and world tour. Titled ANTHEM (3CG Records), the new record will be released on June 18. The ANTHEM WORLD TOUR begins July 18 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and makes its way throughout Canada beginning October 2 in Vancouver and ending in Moncton, New Brunswick on November 17.

The infectious new single “Get The Girl Back,” which features the band’s signature soulful Pop-Rock sound, will be introduced to Canadian fans through the buzzworthy music video featuring Kat Dennings (Two Broke Girls) and Nikki Reed (Twilight/Thirteen). The video is a narrative tale that features the band performing in a packed club, backed by an old-school brass section that accentuates the retro aesthetic of the song. In the U.S., “Get The Girl Back” premiered online on VH1.com on April 4, and on-air on the VH1 Top 20 Countdown on April 6. HANSON also performed the single on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on April 9. Today, MSN Canada is hosting the Canadian premiere of the video. Watch the video here.

ANTHEM was produced and written by the band and was mixed by Tom Lord-Alge. It features a more guitar-driven sound, pulling from a series of harder hitting Rock and R&B influences from James Brown to early Michael Jackson, and AC/DC.

2013 marks the 21st anniversary of HANSON, which will be celebrated on June 17 with two sold out shows at Irving Plaza in New York. The band has been nominated for multiple Grammys, released five studio albums, spawning a string of hit singles, including their 1997 #1 smash “MMMbop” and have sold over 16 million albums worldwide.
