Message From The Band
Thursday night we played a concert in Toronto at the CNE, a festival that is about more than just music, but has a great history of music for roughly 100 years. We had an amazing time and a great audience didn’t hurt as they sang along at well over the festival volume limit of 85DB. Our focus is turning more insular over the next few weeks focusing on a mix of HANSON and non HANSON projects writing songs for other artists, the new ICON book, but even as we are working away behind the scenes I know we are all itching to get back on stage come September at Epcot.

The ANTHEM Tour Australia and New Zealand was amazing, one of the best things were the Members Only Events where we play special songs and shared intimate performances. Here is a shot of Isaac at the piano in Sydney sharing a rare performance.

One Direction kicked it a little old school at their show in St. Louis last night, covering Hanson‘s 1997 smash hit ‘MMMBop.’
Just the insanely catchy chorus was enough send fans into a frenzy, because as every dual One Direction-Hanson fan knows, the only thing better than the two bands existing separately is somehow fusing them together. And since it’s pretty unlikely that Hanson will cover 1D any time soon, this is the closest we’re gonna get.
While the guys kind of butchered the lyrics on the chorus, their falsetto vocals and sweet dance moves were more than enough to make up for it. Seriously, just check out the Instagram vid above.
This isn’t the first time that the boy band showed off their love for the ‘Get the Girl Back’ rockers — last year, Harry Styles and his pal Nick Grimshaw donned blonde wigs and imitated the band circa ’97, tweeting:
And it seems like he still thinks that he is.

Hanson @ CNE
Thursday August 28th Hanson performed at the Bandshell at the CNE in Toronto, Canada. The show was free with admission to The Ex. A friend and I decided that since my next show would be #100 we would drive the 8 hours there and back in order to check out the show. The setlist was great and the show was a ton of fun (although I’ll be happy to have a few days away from my car after all that time in it!) Here are some of my photos from the show!
