We had a personal high point seeing the legendary Bill Withers again, and meeting Aloe Blacc at the ASCAP EXPO.


MESSAGE FROM THE BAND

We are one week from HANSON Day and the 3CG offices are officially upside down with prep for HANSON Day events.  Desks are being re-purposed and EPs, membership cards and event tickets  are being sorted for when members start arriving on Thursday of next week.  Monday our focus will turn from paintings and photos and boxes and signs to rehearsing for both the HANSON Day concert and the Hop Jam show, but if you are not able to join us for HANSON Day weekend don’t despair, we will be streaming the State Of The Band lecture and the HANSON Day concert to Hanson.net members on Saturday so make sure to tune in and join the fun that way.  We are looking forward to seeing all you in Tulsa and online for the streams next week.

All Hanson.net members attending the HANSON Day Weekend will need to Register when they first arrive in Tulsa. You will need to present a photo ID. Acceptable forms of ID are:

  • Driver’s license
  • Passport
  • State Issued ID w/photo
  • Valid School ID w/photo

Join HANSON for the annual State of the Band, where Isaac, Taylor, and Zac will answer questions and share their plans for the community and the future of the music.

Every year HANSON hosts a free concert for Hanson.net members as a part of the HANSON Day Weekend. This concert features brand new music that has never been performed live, as well as member favorites from past albums and EP’s.

The second annual Hop Jam Craft Beer and Music Festival will take place Sunday, May 17th in Tulsa’s Brady Arts District.

The Hop Jam features a free live music concert. The concert brings together diverse musical artists appealing to all ages, celebrating Oklahoma’s music and craft beer community.

In response to 2014’s success the festival has expanded to more than 30 brewers including breweries from Oklahoma as well as top national and international craft brewers, with many available for the first time ever in Oklahoma.

Hanson added as opening act for Ed Sheeran

Hanson is now set to open Saturday’s Ed Sheeran show at the BOK Center, the singer announced.

The Tulsa-based pop group of brothers was added late in the week after schedule opener Foy Vance was taken off the schedule. Hanson is now set to take the stage around 7:30 p.m. Doors at the BOK Center open at 6:30 tonight. The show is sold out.

It will be the first of two shows in Tulsa in almost a week for Hanson, who is set to close out the Hop Jam Beer and Music Festival on May 17. Hanson organized the festival, now in its second year in the Brady Arts District. The Hop Jam is free to attend.

Sheeran made the announcement that Hanson would open his show at the BOK Center via Twitter Friday afternoon.

Sheeran’s album “x” was one of the biggest selling albums of 2014 and was named by the streaming music service Spotify as the most streamed album of the year with more than 430 million plays.

Aside from Hop Jam, Hanson is also preparing to welcome thousands of fans from around the world for the annual Hanson Day weekend, open to members of the Hanson fan club. The event, which kicks off later next week, features exclusive performances, discussions with the band and access events, held around Tulsa. The Hop Jam festival will cap the weekend, though it’s open to everyone beyond fan club members.

Hanson to Open for Ed Sheeran

It has just been announced that Hanson will be the opening act for Ed Sheeran’s shows tonight and tomorrow.  Tonight’s show will be in Tulsa, OK at the BOK Center and tomorrow’s show is in St. Louis, MO at the Scottrade Center.
