Hanson’s Isaac Hanson, Taylor Hanson and Zac Hanson penned “MMMBop,” arguably the most infectious earworm of all time, before they even got their driver licenses. They were known for their wholesome image and dedication to Christian values.
All three brothers are now married with children! Isaac Hanson has three kids, Zac Hanson has four little ones, and Taylor Hanson has five children — putting the total crop of new Hansons in the double digits. But even though they all have their own full houses, they haven’t left music behind. The Oklahoma-based brothers released their most recent album, “Anthem,” in 2013 on their own label, 3CG Records. They last toured in 2015 and were back in the studio in early 2017.

In addition to the Tulsa Showcase at SXSW on March 16 (11:30pm), Hanson will be doing a couple of other performances in Austin.

The other shows are:
March 16 – Four Seasons Hotel Grammy Block Party (5:30-9pm)
March 17 – KGSR Austin Radio Performance (2 songs and Q&A) 10am
March 18 – Southwest Invasion – Rooftop Plaza Whole Foods 6:15pm

As we will not be attending SXSW if anyone can help by letting us know which shows have tickets, sending in ticket images and setlists it would be greatly appreciated!

Earlier this week, we announced all the details for HANSON Day and we have had an overwhelmingly positive response. Already events are selling out, so today we are pleased to announce that we are offering even more! We will be adding a Thursday night showing ofStrong Enough To Break at the Circle Cinema and on Friday evening the first ever Hansonopoly Tournament hosted by Zac. Tickets may be limited, but the amount of fun you are allowed to have is limitless.

Between HANSON Day and Back To The Island, there is a lot going on right now, but over the next few weeks there will be even more to share.  Soon we will be announcing the first leg of our upcoming world tour and more about what music we will be releasing in 2017.

Looking back at the past 25 years we have a lot to be grateful for, so whether it’s at HANSON Day, Back To The Island, or somewhere on Tour this year, we want to raise a glass together and share the celebration with you.

In addition to the Tulsa Showcase at SXSW on March 16, Hanson will be doing a couple of other performances in Austin.  All of the dates have not been announced yet – though we have them all in the database for March 16th this is just a place holder until official announcements come.

Jimmy Eat World, Hanson, Spoon and more in KGSR’s SXSW week at the W

KGSR will broadcast live from the W Hotel every morning from March 15 to March 18 during the height of South by Southwest’s music run, with intimate performances by Spoon, Jimmy Eat World, Hanson, the New Pornographers and many more.

The shows run from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Wednesday through Friday and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Admission is on a first-come, first-in basis. Proceeds from a suggested donation of $5 at the door go to Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas.

The full schedule with dates and times will be announced March 6, but here’s the current lineup of participants: Spoon, Jimmy Eat World, Hanson, New Pornographers, Valerie June, Bright Light Social Hour, Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, Maggie Rogers, Bob Schneider, Karen Elson, Mondo Cozmo, Walker Lukens, Lolo, Missio, Lewis Watson, Colony House, My Jerusalem, Troi Irons, Wild Reeds, Swimming With Bears, Bee Caves, Lo Moon and Morgxn.
