Food On The Move is bringing the Tulsa community together to participate in a “The Day That Music Cares” event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

Because of the potential of storms, the event has been moved indoors to the Food on the Move Tulsa Food Hub, located at 3829 E. Apache St.

Food On The Move founder Taylor Hanson and volunteers will gather to prepare Food On The Move’s new 4,000-square-foot refrigerated space, which will support local farmers and the local food system.

The event was initially scheduled to take place outdoors.

The Day That Music Cares is a nationwide service event hosted by the Recording Academy and its nonprofit arm, MusiCares.

The event is an annual day of service focused on bringing music professionals and fans together to volunteer at the local level and make a difference in their communities.

Food On The Move is Oklahoma’s featured nonprofit for the day of service. Anyone interested in volunteering can register at foodonthemoveok.volunteerlocal.com/volunteer. Limited volunteer spots will be reserved for those who register with Food On The Move.
