Teen Beat, Tiger Beat, 16, Bop: these tween rags introduced us to all our first crushes. Every Tuesday, we remember the dudes that decorated our photo binders. This week, we look back at Hanson, three boys who made us like “Mmmyep!”

Names: Isaac Hanson, Zachary Hanson, Jordan Taylor Hanson. Isaac was the oldest, and played guitar and sang. Zac, the youngest, was always behind the drums, while Taylor sang and played everything else.

We Called Them: Ike, Zac, and Taylor. Some of our friends just called Taylor their boyfriend, and once he stopped looking so much like a girl, we agreed.

How Old Are They Now: Oldest bro Isaac just turned 33 (born November 17, 1980). Taylor hit the big 3-0 this year (born March 14, 1983). Little bro Zac is now 28 (born October 22, 1985).

Claims to Fame: Their song “MMMBop” was, like, our third favorite in 1997. Released on their album Middle of Nowhere, the Tulsa-raised brothers had just the right mix of wholesomeness, age variety, and long hair to make us feel like we totally got the “rock ‘n roll” thing.

Why We Loved Them: They were everywhere, in every magazine, on every radio station, and they were always smiling. Plus, just look at Taylor. He’s so fetch.

What They’re Up To Now: They’re still a band. Seriously, 16 years later. They took time off to make families, and they did it pretty thoroughly, but they have been on tour, with mixed results.

Zac married a woman named Kathryn Tucker in 2006, after meeting her in 2001, when he was only 16. They now have three kids: John Ira “Shepherd” (born May 27, 2008), Junia Rosa Ruth (born December 15, 2010), and George “Abraham” Walker (born October 17, 2013).

On a recent tour, promoting new album Anthem,a man spat in Zac’s face as the boy bander tried to kick him off the bus. With three kids, the mess probably didn’t bother him that much.

Taylor made another music career in 2009, when he joined together with members of Cheap Trick, Smashing Pumpkins, and Fountains of Wayne (remember them?) to form Tinted Windows. The band released the album, but we all know no one is as good as Hanson.

On the new family front, he’s been super busy. In 2000, he met a woman named Natalie Bryant at one of his shows. They dated for two years and then got hitched in 2002, when he was 19 and she was 18. They now have FIVE KIDS! Jordan Ezra “Ezra” Hanson (born in 2002), Penelope “Penny” Anne Hanson (born in 2005), River Samuel (born in 2006), Viggo Moriah (born in 2008) and Wilhelmina “Willa” Jane Hanson (born in 2012).

And the younger bros aren’t the only two popping em out. Elder bro Isaac has had a coupla kids himself. He too met his wife on tour, a woman named Nicole Dufresne. They got hitched in 2006 and have sense had two kids, Clarke “Everett” (born on April 3, 2007), and James “Monroe” (born on July 1, 2008).

On the health front, Ike has been less blessed. He was hospitalized in 2003 for a blood vessel condition caused by strumming the guitar, and again in 2007 with a pulmonary embolism.

Together, the boys released “Mmmhops,” an IPA beer in May 2013, at the Hangover 3 after party. Get it? Got it? Good.
