Can anyone alive in 1997 forget the infectious pop groove MMMBop?

The young men who wrote it—at the time not even old enough to drive—will perform Saturday at Lake Mission Viejo. The show starts at 7 p.m.

Although they achieved the height of their fame in 1997 when MMMBop was nominated for two Grammys, Hanson has continued to put out acclaimed music. Perhaps their most recent high-profile performance was last year on Dancing With the Stars.

Internet sensation Kina Grannis will open for Hanson. Grannis was born and raised in Mission Viejo. Her songs have gained her a worldwide following and several million pageviews on YouTube.

Check back with Mission Viejo Patch Friday for a chance to win Grannis’s most recently released album, “Stairwells.”
