What is the very first memory of Hanson that you have?

I remember hearing MMMBop for the first time in the middle of the night on my alarm clock radio, I thought to myself this song is AMAZING. Bought the cassette the next day and I’ve been a fan ever since!

How many times have you seen Hanson in concert?

I have seen Hanson 7 times in the last 7 years. Once in Cincinnati, OH in 2005 (Live & Electric Tour), twice in 2007 once in Bloomington, IN and once in Louisville, KY (The Walk tour), once in 2008 in Indianapolis, IN (Walk Around the World Tour), once in 2009 in Indianapolis, IN (Use Your Sole Tour), once in 2010 in Indianapolis, IN (Shout It Out Tour), once in 2011 in Indianapolis IN (WZPL Jingle Jame Concert). My favorte memory would have to be my first show in Cincinnati, OH. I remember I injured my back the day before but my adrenaline was pumping so much during the show it didn’t bother me ’til hours after we left!

What is your favorite Hanson song and why?

My favorite Hanson song if I had to pick just one would be “Minute Without You” I love the lyrics and the fast beat!

Why do you like/love Hanson?

I LOVE Hanson because they’ve always had such original music, they’re always evolving and they care about people around the world. I was so excited when they partnered with TOM shows and when they went to Africa and started donating heavily to AIDS Research. I know I can listen to their music no matter who I have in the car and they won’t be offended by the lyrics and in most cases they’re surprised when I tell them it’s Hanson and I end up making them a mixed CD of my FAVORITE Hanson songs. I like to say “some people bring others to Jesus, I bring people to Hanson.” I can’t tell you how many poeple are fans of Hanson now and go to their shows with me because I enlightened them that they’ve moved way past MMMBop!

How long have you been a Hanson fan?

Since 1997! I was a sophomore in high school and Middle of Nowhere was our color guard’s favorite CD to warm up to!

Why should you be FAN OF THE MONTH?

As I stated before I believe I should be fan of the month because I spend a lot of my time telling people about Hanson and sharing my love for their music and their good works with others. I own over 15 Hanson t-shirts and wear them all the time. I’m not ashamred of my love for Hanson and I inform everyone I know that they should give their more recent music a try before they judge them solely on MMMBop alone. I am actually wearing my Walk Around The World Tour TShirt right now!

State a piece of trivia in regards to you and Hanson:

At the Bloomington show I touched all three brothers and actually spoke with Taylor briefly as they went back and forth during sets. We had seen a show in Louisville KY a month or so before so we knew when all the breaks were and waiting to get an opportunity to “touch” our favorite guys!
