Do I have your attention? Good. What’s the worst thing ever? I can’t give a definite answer to that question but I can offer suggestions.
1. Hanson. Remember that terrible song “Mmm Bop”? First off, sorry you’ve now got that in your head. But you need to have it there to fully appreciate (and remember) the level of awfulness that song attains. I truly didn’t think I’d ever hear a song worse than “Aisha” (or any other ABC song for that matter) until I heard that song for the first time in college. I then saw the video and I swear it took at least 5 years off my life.2. The devil. I think this one is pretty self explanatory. From what I’ve read he (or she) is pretty bad. I’ve never met the being personally (and hope I never have to) but I’ll tell you one thing, (s)he probably has “Mmm Bop”, “Aisha”, ”Wannabe” along with other less than memorable hits playing in his waiting room (full blast, sort of like what they did to Noriega except Led Zepplin isn’t bad).
I’m not even sure the purpose of this article – but I kind of love that MMMBop bothered this author so much that 12 years later he is still disturbed by it… And that the devil is ranked below Hanson. Amazing, really.
