Love them or loathe them, everyone it seems has an opinion on Hanson.
With over 20 years in the business, Hanson have finally come to Cardiff.
Ever since their breakthrough (and biggest) hit MmmBop became the sound of ‘97, they have released album after album of top quality songs.
The group made up of the ever smiling brothers Isaac, Taylor and Zac released earlier this year, their ninth studio album Anthem to critical acclaim.
Finally I get the chance of a lifetime to witness the band doing what they do best – playing live.
From the intimate show I witnessed it was quite clear, that this band of brothers have lost none of the charm or musical prowess since they first came over here in 1997.
Kicking straight into Fired Up these seasoned professionals have the crowd eating out of their hands.
From there we are treated to one of the best shows I’ve ever seen.
The set covers their entire career, including the best from their latest Anthem.
As this was their first show in Wales, I hope it isn’t their last.
Comparing their talent to the fly-by nature of today’s celebrities is a one-sided affair.
The Hanson brothers have it by the bucketload.
With just drums, guitar, piano and three harmonious voices Hanson put everyone else to shame.
Opening the show was Wales’ very own Sion Russell Edwards who impressed us with his tales of life via the Ed Sheeran/Passenger route of a acoustic guitar and a great voice.
One to watch out for.

This week we have officially kicked off the final leg of the ANTHEM World Tour in 2013. We have had great shows throughout the UK so far, with great crowds in Glasgow, Manchester and TONIGHT in Cardiff. These shows have been a bit different with us pulling out new arrangements in an electric three piece, and that has made for a great energy on stage. On this tour we have a few special fan club Members Only Events (MOE), and we are excited to host all three of the events coming up on this run (to join RSVP here to an event close to you). Each of the MOE events we did in North America were really fun, with each one featuring special Fan Club songs and an intimate Q and A, we are sure the European events will be great as well. Thank you to everyone that has joined us so far at a show, and we hope you all are having a great holiday season so far!

Hanson, the American pop rock band of brothers from Oklahoma, may seem like one-hit wonders to many with their catchy ‘MMMbop’ track from 1997 (yes it was that long ago), but life-long fans of the band beg to differ.
A group of dedicated Hanson fans from across the UK and Europe camped outside The Ritz Manchester this morning in high wind and rain ahead of the band’s gig tonight at the venue.
Chris Eason from Stoke-on-Trent, who, along with other fans from as far afield as Greece and Germany, had waited in a sleeping bag at the entrance to The Ritz since the early hours, said: “They’re just the best. Youthful, energetic, committed, dedicated musicians.”
The super fans were also waiting for Hanson to lead a barefoot charity walk around the city centre from 3pm this afternoon, however the band announced the cancellation of the walk via their Twitter page this afternoon, due to extreme winds in the city.

Anneka Clark from Chester, who, along with her two sisters, was first in the queue, said: “We’re waiting out because we couldn’t bear to be at the back of a Hanson concert. We got here at 5am.”
