3. Favorite memory would be my first Hanson walk, walking next to Zac the whole time with Isaac in front of me!

What is your favorite Hanson song and why?
Underneath – beautiful lyrics, great melody and I love the piano parts of the song

Why do you like/love Hanson?
Because they stand up and support causes they believe in, they are really connected to their fans and I love that with Strong Enough to Break and Taking the Walk, we get a glimpse at the songwriting process.

How long have you been a Hanson fan?
Since 1997.

Why should you be Fan of the Month?
I make a conscience effort to talk about Hanson or bring them up in random conversations at least once a day to promote them and their music

State a piece of trivia in regards to you and Hanson
I’m the same age as Taylor Hanson; my first Hanson concert would have been in 1997 at the Y-100 Wing Ding in Florida, but I was having open heart surgery then and couldn’t make it. I finally got to see my first Hanson concert 10 years later, in 2007.

Now that Memorial Day is officially in the rearview, and even thoughspeculation began months ago, the conversation (and let’s be honest, competition) over what will be the official song of the summer of 2015 can truly begin. In ascending to the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, Taylor Swift has already made a strong case for “Bad Blood” as a contender, though it’s honestly probably too negative a tune to score a season’s worth of driving to the beach and drinking at barbecues.

Whatever ends up becoming the definitive anthem of the next few months will join a sacred fraternity of artists and songs that live on even after the sunburn fades. So here is a definitive ranking of the last 20 years of songs of summer, ranked from best to least-best.

Hanson, “MMMBop” (1997)
Too polarizing to be transcendent, which is why it can’t sit any higher than this. It’s still mildly amazing that “MMMBop” was produced by the Dust Brothers, the same dudes who helmed Beck’s Odelay and the Beastie Boys’ Paul’s Boutique. MESSAGE FROM THE BAND

This week things are finally getting back to normal at 3CG after HANSON Day weekend and the second annual Hop Jam.  Storage spaces have made the transition back to offices and for the most part desks are no longer covered with beer supplies.  We had an amazing team of people who helped to pull both HANSON Day and the Hop Jam off (both staff members and volunteers) and thanks to their hard work these were maybe the best events we have ever put on.  Sharing music is at the core of everything we do, so few things feel better than getting to say the new Member Only EP Inside The Box has been shipped and is heading for hanson.net member’s mailboxes all over the world.  We had a great time recording Inside The Box, challenging ourselves by limiting our musical tools.  We love how it came out, hope you do too.

We are excited to announce that we will once again be playing Disney Epcot’s Eat To The Beat Food & Wine Festival in Lake Buena Vista, FL. This year, we will be there November 10 – 12. Stay tuned for details about a fall US tour coming in October.  Detailed announcement to come in June.

Hanson will be at Eat to the Beat in Disney November 10, 11, 12 this year!

Now, I have the enviable task of giving you more info on this year’s festival – the lineup for 2015’s “Eat to the Beat” concert series.
