Hanson, “Middle of Everywhere” (Three Car Garage)
My apologies, music fans, but I’m about to make you feel old. “Middle of Everywhere,” a greatest hits compilation, is being released to celebrate Hanson’s 25th anniversary. Yikes, how can that possibly be?
The collection opens with a new track, “I Was Born.” It’s not nearly as catchy as “Mmmbop,” but then again, what is? It’s a fair single, which will undoubtedly sound pleasant to longtime fans. The rest of the songs are culled from across their entire career, none of which I’d ever heard before — but still enjoyed.
• Fell nostalgic — or maybe just kind of old — as beloved rockers Hanson perform at the House of Blues in Cleveland as part of the Middle of Everywhere Tour celebrating the band’s 25th anniversary. (Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 8 p.m.)
