2024 Year In Review

January

2024 kicked off with Hanson’s 11th island escape, Back to the Island took place 1/4-1/8 in Runaway Bay Jamaica at the Jewel Paradise Cove with special guests Allen, Mack, Myers and Moore. The event had 3 Hanson shows, 2 AMMM shows and a solo show from each Hanson brother as well as Nintendo gaming, Family Feud and a DJ Pool Party with Taylor. The announcement of the announcement of Hanson Day was made, gearing us all up for February 1.  Cain’s Ballroom announced Hanson would be playing a show there in December as part of Cain’s Centennial.  Isaac did another show with his side project, Mother Road Sons at Maggie’s. Taylor attended A Celebration of Craft at the GRAMMY Museum.

February

Hanson announced all the information for Hanson Day – the extra concert is ‘Beyond Perennial’.  Fans were happy to see that Karaoke and HTP would be taking place at the larger capacity Cain’s Ballroom.  It was announced tickets would go on sale February 8.  The first HNet streaming show was announced for March. Taylor attended the 2024 Recording Academy Honors presented by the Black Music Collective at Fairmont Century Plaza.  Zac promoted The Big Show Off where he was a judge of the talent competition.  Sea World announced that Hanson would be back for a performance at their Seven Seas Food Festival later in the month.  Isaac joined Melissa Joan Hart’s What Women Binge podcast for a Valentine’s Day episode. Taylor was announced as a speaker at SXSW in March.  The Slot Festival in Finland would be welcoming Hanson as one of their performers in July. Zac was a guest on the Meet at the Hotel Bar podcast with Flawes. Isaac’s Mother Road Sons show for February got postponed to March. Penny and Me was celebrated on Hanson’s Instagram broadcast channel.

March

Hanson’s Instagram broadcast channel celebrated Red Green Blue.  Taylor was on a panel at SXSW in Austin.  Taylor turned 41. The first 2024 Hanson Members Only Stream happened.  Isaac’s Mother Road Sons played a couple shows.

April

Taylor visited the Church Studio on Leon Russell’s Birthday and it was announced he would perform at a tribute to him at the Tulsa Theater.  The title of the 2024 Members EP was announced to be Time Machine. Back to the Island for 2025 was announced and presale began.  Hanson did a podcast with the Lawrence Brothers.  Hanson appeared on Oliver and Kate Hudson’s Sibling Revelry podcast.  Mother Road Sons continued to play at Maggie’s. Tinted Windows released their album on vinyl as part of record store day. Hanson was announced as a headliner at Summerfest with Gavin DeGraw.  Taylor performed a song at his Food on the Move benefit, Rhythm and Roots. Back to the Island opened up more rooms at a neighboring resort.

May

Hanson and their fans geared up for Hanson Day.  Hanson played 2 shows for Hanson Day weekend – Beyond Perennial and the Members Concert. Both were streamed.  The 2024 EP Time Machine was officially released. Hanson paid tribute to the Doobie Brothers at the Grammy Hall of Fame Gala.

June

Hanson marked 2 decades of independence by announcing Underneath: Complete. The Penny & Me (Moonlight Version) music video came out. The Underneath: Experience tour was announced. Hanson played Taste of Syracuse. Hanson made a surprise appearance on The View for Alyssa Farah Griffin’s birthday.  Hanson debuted their new pink moonlight beer and performed at Boulevardia in Kansas City.  Hanson returned to Summerfest in Milwaukee.

July

Hanson was announced as a part of EPCOT’s “Eat to the Beat” concert series once again. Hanson played SLOT festival in Turku Finland followed by their first We Love the 90s and 00s show in Norway. A Members Only Stream for Fall was announced with limited tickets being available at The Church Studio in Tulsa OK. Hanson were on the Naked Lunch podcast.

August

The We Love the 90s Tour in Norway continued. The month ended with a soggy performance in Tulsa, OK at the Big Dam Party at The Gathering Place.

September

Hanson opened the Tennessee Valley Fair in Knoxville, TN. Hanson performed at Webster Hall as part of Old Navy’s 90s throwback party.  Hanson released their cover of Pink Moon by Nick Drake.  Hanson did an in depth podcast with Bob Lefsetz. Hanson returned to the Church Studio in Tulsa for 2 sessions of a Members Only Event.  Underneath Experience tour tickets were $30 on the 30th and performed on the Today show.

October

The Underneath Experience tour kicked off in Minneapolis.  Kate McKinnon was revealed as a Hanson superfan and showed up at their New York City show. The Underneath Experience tour continued with stops in Detroit, Chicago, Toronto, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Nashville.  Zac turned 39.  Hanson performed at EPCOT’s Eat to the Beat for 4 nights.

November

The tour continued in Austin, San Diego and Los Angeles.  The Los Angeles shows were streamed on VEEPs.  It was announced the 2nd Christmas show would be the final Members Only stream of the year.  Hanson was briefly featured in the Larger Than Life documentary on Paramount+. Isaac turned 44.

December

Taylor received the honor of Tulsan of the year for his work with Food on the Move. The itinerary for Back to the Island was released.  Hanson performed 2 Christmas shows at the historic Cain’s Ballroom to help celebrate their Centennial. Isaac joined friend Jacob Tovar at Cain’s Ballroom for Tovar’s Christmas.
