January
2025 kicked off with the 12th year of Back to the Island and what could have been the final year at Jewel Paradise Cove in Runaway Bay, Jamaica. Hanson played 98 songs at the event, 96 being unique.
February
Zac once again was a judge at The Big Show Off to benefit the Tulsa Day Center. Taylor joined Phantom Planet and Natalie Morales in LA for benefits for the fire rescue. Isaac was at Bangers and Twangers in Tulsa for a night of 90s country music. Hanson attended SNL50: The Homecoming Concert. Isaac went to London for the ARC conference. Taylor appeared at the FITSymposium at Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island on a panel to talk about Food on the Move.
March
Changes for Hanson.net were announced. Taylor turned 42.
April
Isaac and Taylor attended Film Day at the Capitol. It was announced Back to the Island would be paused for 2026. Taylor attended the Culture Summit in Abu Dhabi and appeared on 2 panels – “AI Revolution” and “Rita Wilson’s Liner Notes”
May
Isaac and Taylor performed at Leon Live at the Tulsa theater. It was announced that Taylor would be inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame. Hanson performed in Mexico City at Tecate Emblema. Isaac’s Mother Road Sons band performed at The Vanguard to kick off Hanson Day Weekend. Hanson performed the Sound of Light concert and Members Only concert as part of Hanson Day weekend.
June
Taylor appeared at New York Music Month speaking on a panel about Music for Social Change. Due to extreme weather, Bonnaroo and Taylor’s DJ set at Outeroo were canceled. The schedule for RiotFest was released.
July
Disney’s Eat to the Beat was announced with Hanson returning in October. Scary Kids Scaring Kids released Burnout ft Taylor. More one-off shows were announced. Isaac joined Stephen Kellogg for 2 shows in Colorado on his Old Friends tour. Hanson played Snoqualmie, WA. Hanson played Minneapolis, MN the next night!
August
Hanson played New England with shows in Nantucket MA, Uncasville CT and joined Guster in Portland ME. Both MA and CT shows had a Taylor Hanson DJ afterparty. Hanson was the surprise guest at the Jonas Brothers concert in Virginia Beach.
September
The People Magazine App did a piece on the changes to Hanson.net. It was announced that Taylor would be inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame in November. Once again Hanson had a very busy weekend with shows in Detroit MI, Durant OK, New Buffalo MI and Chicago IL. Despite technical difficulties at RiotFest they were joined by John Stamos as well as Steven Edgerton of The Descendants. Hanson on the Today Show 3rd hour was announced.
October
Hanson played showed in Hamilton, Rama and Northfield Park. MMMHops was made available at select Total Wine stores. Hanson appeared on the Today Show from Tulsa’s Guthrie Green and performed MMMBop & Penny and Me. Hanson performed 3 sets each night for 4 nights as part of EPCOT’s Eat to the Beat at the Food and Wine Festival. Zac turned 40! Taylor and his daughter, Penny, were spotted in the audience at Dancing with the Stars. Hanson played 3 shows in New Jersey and one in Maryland. Taylor was appointed Co-Chair of the Recording Academy’s National Advocacy Committee.
November
Hanson were announced as performers at Shinedown’s Lunatic Ball in October 2026. Isaac turned 45. Oklahoma Film + Music announced that two songs that Taylor Hanson was involved with would be included in the film “Sarah’s Oil”. Taylor was inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame. It was announced that Taylor would be featured on a song on Cory Wong’s 2026 ‘Lost in the Wonder’ album out in February. We found out that Island Gigs other concert events in Jamaica for 2026 were postponed due to hurricane damage.
December
Isaac was a special guest at The Colony in Tulsa with Paul Benjamin. Taylor performed at The Hotel Cafe’s Home for the Holidays. Isaac performed a song at Tovar’s Christmas Concert at Cain’s Ballroom. Hanson quietly changed the deadline to purchase a Hanson.net membership to December 30th, with all memberships still expiring March 31, 2026.
