MESSAGE FROM THE BAND
Fall always reminds us of tours. We have done many tours but some stand out. The big theme from last year’s fall tour was the reflecting on the launch of the independent era and the music that came with it in 2003 – 2004. That tour led us into one of our favorite albums, because it captured a lot of that music while also introducing some favorite moments from the road. Some of those also made it back to the stage in this last 12 months of shows (Optimistic found its way back to the stage just recently).
On HNet this week, you can soak up our latest HNet blog featuring Optimistic from that live experience. This song defined a whole tour, bringing attention to a totally different set of influences that many fans didn’t even expect, with a tip of the hat to the iconic Radiohead. We love doing this song live because not only is it a track from a record we love, but it sets the tone for a wholly different kind of concert.
