Can you believe it? Our favorite drummer, energy source, and high-harmony hero Zac Hanson is turning 40 years old today! From the kid behind the kit with the wild blond hair and boundless energy in 1997’s “MMMBop” video to the father of five who still brings that same spark to every show — Zac’s journey has been one long, joyful drum roll.
Over the years, Zac’s given us unforgettable vocals (“Go,” “Don’t Let Me Down,” “Broken Angel”), thunderous live performances, and plenty of onstage antics that remind us he’ll always be the fun one. Whether he’s pounding out beats, cracking jokes, or writing songs that hit us right in the feels, he’s been the rhythmic heart of Hanson for nearly three decades.
