ATW+MON Show Thoughts

By | July 3, 2021

Last night Hanson kicked off their “ATW +” Summer Concert series with the “ATW + MON” show which featured their debut album, Middle of Nowhere, in its entirety as well as the rarely played B-side, Cried.  In addition to the MON songs they also did a few songs that were featured on the Live from Albertane release recorded during the Albertane Tour to promote Middle of Nowhere in 1998: Gimme Some Lovin’, Money and River.  Fans in attendance at Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa also got to hear a bit of Hootie and the Blowfish’s “Only Wanna Be With You” which was also released in the mid-to-late 90s as a bit of a throwback at the end of River.  All 3 currently released singles from Against the World were also included in the setlist – Annalie, Don’t Ever Change and Only Love.  Member’s only song Dressed In Brown Eyes was performed live for the first time and Been There Before from The Walk was included in the encore as well.

While the guys have said they do not intend to play every track from every album at each designated show, they did just play This Time Around in its entirety in May for its 20th+1 anniversary.  Will we be getting another full album tonight? What B-sides and tour covers will get thrown in the mix? Tickets are still available to join them in Tulsa or watch the online stream: https://hanson.net/calendar
