GEDDES, N.Y. – Hanson, the trio of brothers whose 1997 hit “MMMBop” vaulted the then-teenagers into mega stardom, are coming to the New York State Fair this summer.

The band, which celebrated its 25th anniversary last year, will perform on Thursday, Aug. 30, at 8 p.m. at Chevy Court.

The concert, like all Chevy Court concerts during the state fair, is free with fair admission.

“We are very excited to bring Isaac, Taylor and Zac to Chevy Court,” Acting Fair Director Troy Waffner said in a statement. “They’ve known what they wanted to do since they were very young and they’ve made music loved by millions. It’s another great show in a season of excellent and diverse musical entertainment.”

Aug. 30 is one of two Three Dollar Thursdays at the New York State Fair, when admission is only $3. It is also Armed Forced Day, when admission is free for any current or retired military member.

The band’s last CNY show came on New Year’s Eve in 2013 at a frigidly cold First Night celebration at Onondaga Lake Park in Liverpool.
