MESSAGE FROM THE BAND
The biggest news this week is the official announcement of HANSON Day 2018. The celebration of our band’s 26 th birthday will take place in Tulsa on May 17-19 th. Hanson.net members can RSVP starting now in the calendar section and the full schedule of events will be released in a couple weeks on February 1 st. We are still a few months away, but it feels exciting to be planning, writing and painting, all prepping for a great weekend.
Back To The Island 2018 was amazing! Even with the rain, for us it felt like returning to a home away from home. We have a bunch of video to share so starting today and for the next month we will be sharing new videos each week from the island events – music, a little bit of the activities. Maybe by watching them we can bring some of the Caribbean (“No problem man”) to our freezing Oklahoma weather.
Each year, HANSON Day weekend marks the release of our annual Member’s EP, so with today’s announcement… you guessed it, we are nearly ready to start to record. The actual dates have not been set in stone just yet, partly because we are still going back and forth on what the musical theme for the EP should be. The plan is to start recording sometime next month (February) so we can have it finished in plenty of time for HANSON Day release. We should have more details next month about when you can watch the making of the new EP so stay tuned.
