MESSAGE FROM THE BAND
After a magical week in Jamaica for the fifth annual Back To The Island, we are in Tulsa working on all the plans for 2017. We filmed a lot during the concerts and activities at BTTI and will be editing and sharing over the next few weeks. If you have not been on H.net in the past few days, you should checkout the blog for the videos we have already shared. Each year we look at the feedback we get from members and try to improve in whatever way we can. Back To The Island 2016’s feedback helped us decide to do brand new activities this year and gave us confidence that the way we wanted to change the daily schedule would make a better event for everyone. If you did attend BTTI this year, check your inbox for this year’s survey. Your opinions could play a big roll in the next BTTI.
We are going back in the studio this week to put the final touches on our upcoming Christmas album. We are really happy with everything we have done, but with some perspective we feel like there are a few bells and whistles we can add to take things over the top before we begin mixing at the end of this month. Once we are finished with the mixing of the Christmas album, we will start working on new music of the non-holiday variety. We have the 2017 members EP to write and record, but we are planning to do more than just that. It has been 25 years since we started singing together and we feel like we should commemorate that achievement before moving on.
Tour planning for 2017 is continuing. We feel really good about where we will be going in the US and now we have to finalize where else on the globe we will be heading before the end of 2017. With any luck we will have something more concrete to share before HANSON Day this May.
If you have not seen it already, this year HANSON Day starts the evening of May 18th through the 19th & 20th. If you are a H.net member and are planning to attend, as of this week you can RSVP in the calendar section of Hanson.net. Many of the events like the concert and the gallery at HANSON Day are completely free to members, but we still want to know who is coming so we can have the best possible event. Look for the HANSON Day details to be announced by the end of February.
