We’re huge fans of both Austin Mahone and Hanson, so it didn’t take long for us to notice that both artists have hits with ‘MMM’ in the title — Austin with ‘MMM Yeah’ featuring Pitbull, and Hanson with their breakout smash ‘MMMBop.’ While the two songs are both classified as pop, they are drastically different. It’s a tough choice, but we have to ask: Which ‘MMM’ song do you like best?

Austin Mahone infuses ‘MMM Yeah’ with his signature urban flavor and an electronic beat that makes it impossible to not sing (or dance) along to. ‘MMM Yeah’ is downright addictive, showing off Austin’s smooth voice and Pitbull’s catchy rhymes, which help add a Latin flavor to the tune. When Austin sings on the chorus, Mahomies can’t help but swoon a little, imagining that he’s crooning about them. Melt!

Hanson came out with their infectious smash ‘MMMBop’ in May of 1997, and it helped propel brothers Isaac, Taylor and Zac to becoming worldwide sensations at the ages of just 17, 14, and 11, respectively. While the tune has an unbelievably catchy chorus and an upbeat, sunny vibe, the lyrics actually reveal a much deeper meaning about holding onto the true friends in your life. “You have so many relationships in this life, only one or two will last,” Taylor sings at the beginning of the song. “You go through all the pain and strife and you turn your back and they’re gone so fast.” In addition to Hanson’s version, which they still perform in concert today (just as they have been over the past 17 years), younger music fans might recall that the Vamps also covered the track, which you can listen to here.
