We have our first “We Met Because of Hanson” story!
My wife and I actually met at the Cincinnati show on November 13, 2005, became friends, talked off and on for about a year and a half and planned to meet up at the Columbus, Ohio show in September of 2007. As it was über crazy that day we didn’t get a chance to meet up but still talked and planned for her to come down and hang out a weekend in October. We started going out that weekend and in 2008 after a show she proposed to me, and then in 2009 at the Members Only Event in Tulsa I proposed to her. Our wedding date was May 15, 2010 and it wasn’t until 2011 that we discovered that our anniversary was actually the same day as Hanson’s anniversary (as a band. They officially started their band on May 15 1992). Some people think it’s creepy, but we didn’t plan it that way, it was just a happy surprise 🙂
