SUMMERSIDE – Harbourfront Theatre was almost full, but it was such an enthusiastic crowd, it sounded like triple the capacity.

A mainly female audience came to see pop-rock trio Hanson in concert in Summerside on Saturday.

On their “Anthem” world tour, brothers Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson stopped on P.E.I. for a barefoot fundraising walk on a beautiful afternoon in Summerside and a pop-rockin’ concert Saturday evening

“Anthem” is their new album that “celebrates the power of music to ignite passion and bring people together,” and that’s exactly what they did in Summerside.

However, it was their 1997 international smash single “MMMBop” from their debut album “Middle of Nowhere,” that got the audience most excited.

Before starting their encore number, the brothers told the boisterous crowd that they would return to P.E.I. if this crowd promised to come back. Their request was met with resounding cheers.
