CORPUS CHRISTI — Corpus Christi can “MMMBop” its way to Brewster Street Wednesday for a 90s pop music flashback.

The three brothers, Zac, Taylor and Isaac Hanson of the pop-rock band Hanson will be playing in a free concert at Brewster Street Ice House at 9 p.m.

Hanson’s three brothers became known worldwide in 1997 for their hit song “MMMBop” and their long blonde hair.

Fast-forward 16 years and the band has not only put out almost dozen albums, with their most recent album “Anthem” being released June 2013, but they have also chopped their long blonde locks.

The Beach 96.5 FM is hosting the free show and concert goers can pick up tickets at the radio station’s booth at the “Head to Toe Women’s Expo” from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Mansion Royal on 8001 South Padre Island Drive.

Dan Watson, The Beach program direction, said when he first posted about the concert on the station’s Facebook page, the page blew up with fans excited about the show.

“These guys have held their fan base for several years,” Watson said. “The still sell out venues all over the world.”

Watson said they’ve had ticket requests from all over Texas and Louisiana.
