The childhood home of the Hanson brothers is going on the auction block.

Homeowner Walker Hanson said when the family purchased the house they had seven children and needed the space.  Now, with only one child still living at home, Walker said it’s time to move on and let another lucky family enjoy the property.

“We like to say there’s music in the walls because it’s a very creative environment. It’s extremely peaceful, it stirs up those juices in you and I think there’s another story for a family to kind of write their chapter in this house,” said Walker.

Sitting on more than 120 acres, the home features six bedrooms, a cabana with guest quarters and a state-of-the-art recording studio.

The property was home to Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson, a trio of young brothers who garnered national attention in the mid-’90s for their hit tune “Mmmbop.”  Unlike other boy bands of the time, Hanson boasted of playing their own instruments.

The home is set to be auctioned Thursday, Nov. 10.
