PHOENIX — They’re probably best known for their 1997 hit “MMMBop,” which earned two Grammy nominations, but don’t call Hanson a one-hit wonder. The band has sold more than 15 million records worldwide and have had six Top 40 singles.
The three brothers sang together for years before finding commercial success with the release of their first major-label album, “Middle of Nowhere,” and, of course, “MMMBop,” in 1997.
Issac (guitar), Taylor (keyboard/piano) and Zac (drums) stopped by to chat with Tara Hitchcock about their lives — all three are now married and have kids of their own — and how their sound has changed since “MMMBop.”
Their latest album is called “Shout It Out.”
Hanson is performing at the Marquee Theater today at 7 p.m. The theater is located at 730 N. Mill Ave., Tempe. For more information, call 480-829-0707 or log onto www.hanson.net.
